Marriage & Divorce - 8 May 2007

I am 27 and have lived in the one town all my life. I am an only child of divorced parents and have always struggled to feel secure (relying to much on other people to make me happy). I am thinking about selling my house and travelling overseas for a few months. I have never travelled overseas before. I am not content with my life at the moment and concerned that I will never leave my comfort zone.
I am hoping that by taking the leap I will find independence and confidence, which are two things I really want. Selling my house is obviously a big decision but I can not afford to travel without doing so and I am not sure that I want to come back here after I travel.

Below I will list some reasons that peole get married,which one are you and can you be totally honest with your answer,are you still happy in this marriage or is it just a habit,have you lived a lie to please everyone else,thanks for your answers in advance Im asking this as a project Im doing about why we truly marry.........

Reasons......

1) partner was pregnant
2) arranged marriage
3) denial of sexual identity i.e. gay
4) to get away from situation in family home
5) it was the expected thing
6) purely financial
7) out of total love for your partner and wanting to be eternally with them......

which ever one of the above you are has your feelings changed over the years,did you end it or carry on,are you still stuck in a unwanted marriage...Be totally honest please
