Friends - August 2007

I live with my boyfriends friends which are a couple. I first lived with them when I needed an out so I could move out of my parents house. Now we live in a house that they signed the lease to and got keys before I had even seen it and I was cornered to sign the lease. Well our lease is up and I thought we had and understanding that we would go month to month now. They just dropped the bomb that they discussed it further without me and told our landlord to activate another lease and now they want me to sign it. I am sick of being teamed up on. The problem is I don't have anywhere else to move to quickly enough or enough money. Also I can't chew them out like I want to since they are my boyfriends good friends and I would still see them constantly even if I do move out.

So how should I get out without causing tension between all of us in the future?

Ok so around some peoplei can talk their heads off, but then around other people my mouth seams to be sealed shut! and then when i do say something it sounds dumb. It is not like I am dumb or anything, I just do not want to sound dumb. Do you have any tips, because i am going to be going to a bigger school next year, and i want to be able to make friends...

I have a female coach and I realy want to look up to her and trust her. I want to look up to her because my sisters are all moved out and out of state and I hardly see my sisters anymore. Also I dont have a mom and I live with my dad and my brother. I want to ask her but is it approprete?

my moms best friend that shes known since they were in jr high recently told her her husband has been diagnosed with a disease that is really worsening each day.

we told my grandma about it and she said "oh well do susannes kids help out or are they too busy being teenagers?"

my mom asked her what she meant and this is what she said...

..."You know what i mean. teenagers dont think about anyone other than themselves and their friends."

i was shocked at hearing this considering i am a teenager and would drop everything to help my dad. i dont know of any teens personally that would go to the movies and ditch their dad who happens to be dying. i was very insulted by what she said and when i tried to talk to her about it she cut me off.

would you be insluted by this???

also, please keep my moms friend, her husband, and their five kids in your prayers.

I feel so trapped and suffocated right now. I am my last year of college and have a job...whenever I have free time I spend a lot of time with my mom. However, if I ever and i mean ever spend time with a friend my age or want to go out with a friend and do age appropriate things my mom says I have too much time on my hands and I should get another job. She likes to go out to bars with me and do senseless things in the middle of the day and then she says I need to enjoy my life. The second I do something with a peer she gets really mean to me and angry and tries to make me feel worthless...She has a few unclose friends but whenever she makes plans with them she cancels to do something with me. What do I do?? What can I do to change this trap?

Normally I would just ask the guy, but I do work with him and he is my manager. This isn't my career and I could find another job in a heartbeat, so that is not a concern at all for me.

He is a little bit older than me, but this is what he does:

-He comments on my appearance

-He comments on how he enjoys working with me

-He always smiles at me and talks to me about things not work-related.

-He looks at me differently, I can just see it in his eyes

-He touches me a lot on my back, and jokes with me physically(pokes me, etc, etc)

-He congregates around me, whenever he comes around, it is by me.

What do you all think?

My best friend, let's call her Shaniqua, has called me repeatedly over the summer. At the start of June I always answered her calls. But throughout August and this early July, I haven't picked up.

It's not that i don't want to talk to her. I just have a lot on my mind.... my families been moving, I have 3 books to anotate for my advanced English course and my self esteem has been shot.

I don't want to make excuses for the way I've been neglecting my friend... but her messages are progressivly becoming more and more upset. It's so unlike her. I feel HORRIBLE for not calling her back.

What should I say to her? How can I explain that i wasn't ignoring her. I feel like such a bad friend and i want to make it better.

Please help me!

see, every thursday night, one of my friends goes to this church in irving. she has been wanting me to go with her for so long so finally i went two weeks ago, and i told her that when i get another thursday off, i would go again. well i was off last night but i canceled with her to go swimming at the lake with some other friends. i had been telling her for the past two weeks that i would go back with her but i blew her off for someone else. does that make me a bad person?

I am throwing a party, and I accidentally (because there was a big master list) invited someone that my friend's sister has a big problem with. As soon as she found out, my friend told her sister instead of telling me first to see if I could fix it. Now her sister made a big deal about it and there was a big fight (her sister is my relative by marriage). Should I be mad at my friend? A ex frined of mine is coming over to my house tonight so we can try to make up and be friends again. Neither one of us is mad anymore. (friend moved in my house, later I kicked her out for not even trying to look for job, and spending my money) Now I hear she is wanting to be friends again, as do I so I invited her over for dinner tonight. Well.......
There's a guy I like, and we IM a lot.
But my friend, like my BEST friend wanted his e-mail.
I didn't give it to her because she can make ANY guy fall for her, I do not want that to happen.
So instead I said I forgot it and I gave her my sister's e-mail (because my sister knows it).
My best friend will ask for the e-mail AND she'll become great friends with my sister........They have a lot of things in common.

I couldn't have that happen.........Sooo.....


I told my sister not to talk to her, because she was a "hacker" (she's not)

Am I being mean??

I have this ex-friend. Now from some unfortunate string of events she know who I like. now shes just tole me she hates me and I know she'll tell him.

The guys has just been hired to work at my work (part time job) and hes also in my class. This girl is the biggest ***** I have ever met and is really jealous of me.

The biggest problem is that Im supposed to do an English assignment with her and I cant stand to work with her now. Im going to tell the other members of the group Im leaving and I shall join another.

As for her telling the guy I like, should i just deny it if he doesnt feel the same... this is inevitable. Any advice would be great!!!

We always used to be close but then they started to get closer to eachother and i seem to be the one always left out!

They are always together and whanever i confront them they either throw it back in my face and deny it.

We used to be really good friends but now their always partners, they write stories together, they always have to ddo the same things, and to be honest i think i relate to them more then they relate to eachother.


PLEASE, help me, like i said above i can't confront them, plus they don't even listen to me, they ignore me.

i know i have to find new friends so please don't say that!

I think for me it is a mixture. I have lots of friends who are more than acquaintances but with whom I have quite superficial relationships but I would still go out of my way to help them in times of need on a practical level, and then I have a very select few who I would do anything for and would be there for them on every level. Of the two groups it is my close friends that are more important to me and I value deeply, and it is ONLY those that I would turn to for advice (or more correctly listen to) if I needed their help. But I do need all my friends as they all bring something to my life.

How about you?

My "best mate" and i had an arguement, after i accused him of not caring, because i was upset, and he laughed at me, and he also ditched me to go fishing with another mate, and he lead me on aswell about something else. Making my mood go up slightly, then telling me that he didnt want to, and dropping it like a load of bricks. Even though he has done all this, i apologised for calling him "uncaring" but he didnt take my apology, so screw him.
But anyway, have you ever had a mate like that who has done anything similar like that to you?
and do you think i was right to not care anymore (at this precise moment, im debating wether to wreck his life more, for what he did to me. His last gf, and still current love interest only dated him once, and that was for three days, as a pity thing. I also have other things on him)
What do you think?

I have been living with two guys for almost a year now and one of them is a really good roomate with whom I click and we have similar opinions on cleanliness.

However, the other roomate is a very messy person. I'm not talking untidy and unorganized, I'm talking unsanitary problems with food safety, garbage smells and him not every doing his laundry to the point of it smelling really terrible in the apartment. We have asked him to be more considerate and help with the cleaning of the common areas, but nothing we say or do seems to change his ways. It's gotten to the point where his disregard for cleanliness is causing us stress. We currently are considering pointing out this problem to our landlords to see if they can help us out in this.

Overall I would be much happier if he moved out. We have nothing in common and I always feel awkward around him. And the unsanitary and unpleasant messes he makes are getting to me.
Do you think we should kick him out?
