I live with my boyfriends friends which are a couple. I first lived with them when I needed an out so I could move out of my parents house. Now we live in a house that they signed the lease to and got keys before I had even seen it and I was cornered to sign the lease. Well our lease is up and I thought we had and understanding that we would go month to month now. They just dropped the bomb that they discussed it further without me and told our landlord to activate another lease and now they want me to sign it. I am sick of being teamed up on. The problem is I don't have anywhere else to move to quickly enough or enough money. Also I can't chew them out like I want to since they are my boyfriends good friends and I would still see them constantly even if I do move out.

So how should I get out without causing tension between all of us in the future?

talk to ya bf first, and let him know how u feel, then call a group meeting....sign the lease so they can't kick u out, and stand up for yourself....no descisions shouls be made concerning the house w/o all parties being present..period

Who is all on the lease to begin with? If you are not on the lease tell them that you will only go from month to month. That way you can take your time looking for another place and only have to give them 30 days notice.

In your case, what difference does it make if you are on a month-to-month lease or a 12 month lease if you can't move out????????

If you're so adamant against a long lease, then go to the landlord and ask for a month-to-month lease for yourself, stipulating that you pay one-third of the rent each month.

Talk to your boyfriend.

I'd be a bit pissed that I got teamed up on, not to mention the fact that b/f never bothered to talk to you about it before he signed it!

Sounds like you have issues not just with his friends but with him.

How long have you two been dating? He should have talked to you about this before signing anything. What if you two wanted to get an apartment together?!?

You can either grin and bear it for another year, or move out (even if it means moving back home for a temporary time).

I don't know what to tell ya. Your hands are tied. You can talk with your boyfriend to see what he can do, but can you afford to live yourself or is it worth moving back in with your parents? Is that even an option?

Why don't your bf and you get a place?
