Friends - May 2007

from 2yrs till i ran away at 14. his son was my best child hood friend until he tried to get his dad to do something about it. my uncle just would allow us to be around each other until we were too old for him to stop us. when i ran away i was gone for 7 years but while i was gone i was still in contact with cousin and grandparents because they loved me. I never told grandparents because i thought i was bad and i didnt want them to be mad. when i as 22 i came back and went to work i fam business. grandpa die shortly there after and grams followed. the night of her funeral my auncle threated to arrest me cuz my aunt said i stole that weeks deposots so i left town the next day (it was n front of whole fam) a few years later my cuz killed himself, but not before calling me and telling me i had inheratance that uncle was trustee of. what do i do. he was famous cop, who spearheaded foundation for abused and neglected children, found out on internet looking for cuzes obit, cant find it,

I love my friends. However recently they are all depressed. I have been supportive and spent night after night with them, hanging out and listening to their problems, but I also want a life. I'm in my twenties and want to get out there.

However I'm finding this difficult. It's hard to meet new people when none of your friends are having events, parties or want to come out with you.

My town is small. What can I do to get out of this rut?

Am I awful for feeling this way? I have no problems being supportive, but I need more than sitting in living rooms. Even when I initiate going out people stop coming. They are fine with me watching videos and talking with them though.

It's been almost a year since I've done anything.

Within the past year we’ve been communicating less and less. Lately, she's made so many new friends and is involved in so many activities that there’s really no time left for me.

I really miss the bond we had as kids, going swimming & having adventures... Even up until about a year and a half ago things were great. We would hang out almost every day, talk online for hours, etc. We always had something to talk or laugh about... yet now she seems like a stanger. When I'm with her things are just so different.

I guess we've just grown apart? It really hurts to think that we might not be friends for much longer. I’m at a complete loss at what to. Last night I found an old game we used to play and it brought me to tears and then this morning I began crying again because I suddenly felt so guilty, like I caused this because I wasn't always the friend I should have been.

I just wish I could have just one more chance. Please, if anyone can give me advise I'd be so thankful!

I graduated high school just about a year ago and moved onto college. A lot of my friends did too and while Im still in touch with a few I can tell the friendships are fading and they are all making new friends in their new paths but I dont seem to be - in college everyone seems to keep to themselves and their groups and Im looking for the close friendships like the ones I've lost but with new people. How do you make new friends as an adult?

on my birthday i invited my cousin to come over because i diddn't want a party but instead she went to the movies with her boyfriend and diddn't bother at all to ring me,as i found out from my grandma. it still makes my blood boil as i think about it! and i would really like a nasty overly NASTY way to get my revenge.

Okay so I have this friend.
and she drives me insane most of the time.

she is only happy when it is me and her together with nobody else round.
and when I call her to vent about my problems or to talk to her about something.. she always turns it around so it is about her.
she gets mad at me when I hang out with my other friends because she doesn;t like them.
she is always telling me to do stuff that I don't want to and she knows I dont and then she gets mad or upset when I tell her that i dont want to do it.

Then she will call me for advice and once I give some to her she always finds an excuse no to do it..or she says that my advice is stupid.

she has really been making me mad lately with all of this.. what can I do?

My parents are getting a divorce and so i hate my life now and im starting to cut myself.
