it is still not to late for you to take your stepfather to court for the abuse that you suffered at his hands.you can also take your uncle because when he first joined the ploice force he took an oath to up hold the law even if it was a member of his own family who was breaking it and if he new that your stepfather was abusing you and did nothing he failed in his duty as a policeman as child abuse is most definately against the law. But you did the wrong thing leaving when your auntie accused you of theft as that made you look guilty even when you were not . I would have stayed and faced it out with her even though they did take me to court .then i would have sued for both wrongful arrest and liability as well as deffination of chareter

I would try to find a laywer. A woman who might help you out pro bono sounds like this could get some news coverage so sometimes lawyers do that. Or one that is cheap. Sorry you had it so tough. Sounds like reguardless of how your life was you are trying to make a good life for yourself. Sorry about your cousin!!!

gather all the evidence you can, then go to the authorities, preferrably someone higher than your uncle, maybe he only threatened to arrest you because he didnt want you to be able to have your inheritance and without you the "trustee" that is your uncle is free to spend the money.
