Am I doom to not have a girlfriend? I tried to talk to new girls last semester but they all saw me as a stranger. So how exactly do I suppose to talk to a girl that will let me be friends with her again? Any clues please? I am 19 and want a girlfriend badly already. All of my friends have their girlfriends, and I never even entered the dating world nor have a lot of female friends...

I have this girl, who is my best friend, and she's almost like a sister to me. But the problem is, is that I think we just see way too much of each other!! We start to bicker and get annoyed by trivial things. She goes to the same church as me. She is in every one of my classes at school. She's in my lunch. She's my tennis partner. I see her everywhere!! I thought it would be great at first. But we are starting to really get on each other's nerves. I really don't want to break our relationship because it used to be so strong. How can I bond with her once more?

I mean, I all the advise I get on making friends says to put yourslef out there. Ok, I'm doing that, but no one else does it. Like, I never see other people out trying to make friends, they're nice, polite, some even seem to like me. I've also never had anyone new appoach me without me approaching them fist (like in classes, at events...), even at orientation(university student). Are most other people shy? (no, I'm not being pushy, coming on too strong, etc.) Has anyone else noticed this?

It's not like I really mind, it's just weird.

i have tis really good female friend who when i first met her i said that she isnt my type but after getting to know her ive grown to like her alot and im really interested in her. i have alot of feelings for her and it drives me nuts. i just havent told her cuz of everything ive been going through with some one else. now that i have nothing goin on i feel like i wanna tell her. i know its not just some complacient random thing. its been somethng that has grown with in me. should i tell her and risk complicating the friendship or should keep it to myself and just be the best friend that i can be?

We don't talk at all. We see each other almost everyday. We will keep seeing of each other for two more years because of college, plus we live in the same town. And we both plan to remain here. We used to be the best of friends since we were kids until mid-junior high {around that time}. We were so extremely close and I used to have a huge crush on him. I remember he confessed to me when we were a little older {still young though} but I rejected him since he always he used to reject me even though I never told him how I felt..After that, everything fell apart...When we reached high school, he tried a lot for us to get together again, but I was ashamed of how I dealt with I did to him...and scared, scared that he was just playing with me. I also fell in love with someone and was well, distracted with him. Once I was beginning to get close to the other, he once again rejected me...After that, I decided not to speak to him no longer {even though he said we could be friends}.

I've known this lady since i was a little girl.I look up to her as an aunt and we used to be very close.but sometimes i question if she really cares about me like she says.One reason because i found out she lied to me about somethings and she doesn't know i know.she has really hurt me and dissappointed me in alot of ways. sometimes i wish i never opened my heart to her because now it makes me a little stand offish with others its like its hard for me to trust other people.And I don't want to be bitter to people i meet in the future.do you have any advice???

I don't remember saying it, but he said that I made a rather hateful comment about his being gay. I really need to know how to show him I'm sorry, and to get him to realize that I didn't mean to say it. see, my friend "Lane" and i are hanging out all the time. he hasnt asked me out yet but we know we like each other. it's obvious!!! but today my friend "Donnie" was talking to me more than usual and he asked me....like...if i would go out with someone like him ever.... I have no idea why they did this, maybe they were mad because I didn't go to their party, but it got me really mad. I don't want do something that will get me in big trouble, like egging their homes. That would also get their parents and siblings mad, and I want to avoid that. Any suggestions?

My friend is living with her mother, a single paent, who was divorced. One time i heard her talk to her mom and it was on the rude side so i jokingly said, you are so mean to your mom, and she simply said, you don't know what she's like. I didnt start to think of it until now. She also seems to dread being home alone with her mom and when i confront her about their behaveior, she gets defensive and mad at me. i really don't want to call the police and lose my best friend, but right now it seems like the only way to handle this. i care very much about her and i really cant stand to see her get hurt. tonight for example, i was on the phone with her and she was all happy and in the middle of a story, and all of a sudden she got a really sad voice and said, i have to go, bi. and she got off before i got any answer. imreally worried about her, and i don't know what to do. please don't tell me to go to the police, because that is my last choice, and i really don't want to hear it. Help me!!!

My best friend is really worried that her family may move her in the summer before her senior year of high school. I'm worried too. It's not because of her parents' work or financial reasons. My friend seems to be having a hard time even talking about it with her parents though. She doesn't want to go, and I certainly don't want her to go. Any suggestions on convincing her parents to stay at least until she graduates?
