Some time ago, my friend started crying uncontrollably for no good reason. After a while, she confided that she was raped when she was a little girl and she remembered. I didnt know what to say, and I didnt know what to do. I later read that 1/4 college girls have been raped. Is this true?

My best friend totally believes that i just made out (thats all) with this guy that she can seriously NOT get over. But I didn't make out with him. She wasn't there at the time, but we were sitting in Round Table (of all places) and all these people were there. She was in the bathroom. He asked me to make out with him (and yes, he had been all over me all day long) and i said no. he put his mouth over mine (not that weird for him) but i didn't kiss back. All the people there told her something that wasn't true, something that it looked like, but they did not know the truth. I have told her many times what actually happened. She doesn't believe me, and won't talk to this boy about it. I don't really know what to do about any of this. This kid loves her so much by the way. Shes one of his best friends, and they do stuff together. It's kind of weird, but I love this girl to death, and I wouldn't lie to her. But she doesn't trust me now. I just don't know what to do.

I just don't know.Is this her way of trying to be my friend?I'll let you make the decisions.When we're walking in the hallway,she stays on my butt.I can't make a turn without me seeing her right there. When I walk with someone,she tries to get in front of then just to talk to me.When she does she tries to get right by my lips.I really wonder.Wait,thats now all,she even tries to sit my of behing be in all of the classes that we have together.When she has to walk by me she tries to stick her rear out in my face.I've asked her whats wrong with her but she just laughs. I'm not that much of a talker I mean I'll say somthing and try to carry on a coversation but I always fail to do that. But a lot of my friends talk to each other and other people and all that and they always seem to keep a conversation going. So whats the secret? Its been freakin me out because last year I could do all that but now this year meaning school year I can't. This year a lot of the kids I talked too stayed back or moved.

so my bestfriend joe is comming from arizona to cali to help me out with the kids for a bit.
i have known him since i was 14 ( i met him through my husband)
he has always been there my husband and joe are friends also and my husband is in germany for a bit with his family and i plan on having joe stay with us( me and my kids 3 days and 3 years)
the house is big enough.
is that inaproprate?

I just moved to a new city for a few months and I want to make some friends, but I am kind of shy about approaching people. At a bar, coffee shop, etc., is it weird to just go up to someone, introduce yourself and be like, "Hi, I am new in town..." etc.? What is the best way to do this?

If somebody who used to care about you drifted apart and never replies your messages and you're the only one who calls and tries to keep the friendship going, should you quit and move on?

They still answer your calls though. They don't reject them. You have good converstaions most of the time.

I know friendship is about give and take. But if one person gives too much then he/she might lose respect from the other party, right? So what should I do? Does that mean he/she is just being nice but couldn't care less whether you still consider him/her as a friend?

Okay, here's the facts: he used to be my friend from work -> the company shut down -> we lost our jobs, but still kept in touch -> got a lot closer -> became an item -> drifted apart -> broke up -> now we've both got different jobs -> can't stop thinking about him -> back to being just friends.

Is this a sign of me being no longer welcome? What should I do? I feel so silly asking this *blush*

First off, I came over from Belgium too years ago an am now going to a private school. Im in eighth grade. I was never was and am not much of nerd. (thank gawd)

Basically, the problem is that I have a really weird last name, Mahieu. and i pronounced it wrong in english. Because of that, people (mostly guys) have been makin fun of for like ever now. I can't do anything about it though. I mean, i know what akward is, and i never am. Im not the 'popular *****' type either. I have plenty of those im my grade. It's really annoying because I have one of the most popular girls in my grade in my advisory, so im always sarcastic mean to her. Unfortunately, she doesn't get it. Shes jsut stupid. Then Nick, AAAHHHHH I hate his stupid guts! Hes the one that started the Mahieu thing and hasnt given it up yet. Even the guy I have a huge crush on refuses to start a conversation. (see my other questions ) I can't stand my school but I can't leave for unknown reasons. What now??

I have a boyfriend but we are spending sometime not seeing eachother just talking. He is busy with his friends and school and work. I take care of 5 kids(not mine) and don't really have many friends besides him. How can I find a way to feel less alone while he is sorting out his own life?

I lent my friend $60 in December and when I recently asked her for it, she told me she paid it back to me but can't remember when. I am 95% sure she hasn't paid it back!
The thing is, I trust her and she's not the kind of person to lie.
If it was $10 I wouldn't mind but it's a large amount and I feel really angry.
What are some non confrotational ways to find out if she's lying?!

a few months ago my boyfriend of 10.5 months broke up with me because the relationship grew dull which now i understand but then i didn't.
my best friend of almost 11 years told me to move on. so i didto his best friend.
i got so upset and depressed i'd do anything to get him bk well my dumb thought that by sleeping with his friend he'd like me better because i dunno i thought his friend would say how great i was or whatever of course that made matters worse.
well of course two of my best friends my ex-boyfriend absolutly hate me. :[
well that was about a year ago.
at first i was so depressed but now i'm in all honesty sorry...and because of it all i became closer to God.
i'll be starting a new church soon, i stay away from bad things like drugs and alcohol [ those were involved ] and i just try and be an all around good person. i'd like to show them that and maybe get them back as friends. i know i was wrong. && i deserve to be punished if u must be mean i undastand but plz help
