First off, I came over from Belgium too years ago an am now going to a private school. Im in eighth grade. I was never was and am not much of nerd. (thank gawd)
Basically, the problem is that I have a really weird last name, Mahieu. and i pronounced it wrong in english. Because of that, people (mostly guys) have been makin fun of for like ever now. I can't do anything about it though. I mean, i know what akward is, and i never am. Im not the 'popular *****' type either. I have plenty of those im my grade. It's really annoying because I have one of the most popular girls in my grade in my advisory, so im always sarcastic mean to her. Unfortunately, she doesn't get it. Shes jsut stupid. Then Nick, AAAHHHHH I hate his stupid guts! Hes the one that started the Mahieu thing and hasnt given it up yet. Even the guy I have a huge crush on refuses to start a conversation. (see my other questions ) I can't stand my school but I can't leave for unknown reasons. What now??

You sound so cool. Only in 8th grade and have lived in two (or more) countries. You can probably speak more than one language. It must be nice knowing that if you ever want to go back to Europe, you will have a place to stay. That is my own list of all the positive things I learned about you just by reading your passage. Stop looking at all the negatives in your life (you will go insane) and focus on the positive. I want you to try something new for a change. I want you to go to school with more self confidence. You will notice that people will be drawn to you. No one wants to hang around with miss gloom. People feed off other people's energy. Be yourself and have a good time. You will attract "great" friends. They may not be "popular" but they will like you for who you are.
