Why should it be any harder to love them? You adopted grandchildren will be your real grandchildren too. If your family has to ask that question, maybe your daughter shouldn't adopt jsut right now. Please remember to never make your adopted grandchildren feel any different. I was adopted, and I never got along with my mom's parents, b/c they made me feel different and it constantly reminded me I was not biologically a member of their family. I gave me low self esteem. My dad's parents treated me like any of grandchild. I must admit I favored them over my mom's parents for that reason. Remember that God also adopted us into His family and loves us all just the same. I wish you luck and your family the best.

you had better be able to do exactly that or you are going to cause many problems in that family and possibly get yourself banned from the family for showing favoritism. Children are children and they belong to the people that love them, blood has nothing to do with it. IF you daughter consideres them her children you had best be considering them your grandchildren and "real" as opposed to adopted had better not be a distinction in your mind heart or actions. It will only cause pain and grief if you do not. and the biggest sufferer will be you.
