I am a married adult. My spouse has severe health problems and often ends up in the hospital. In the past I had worked a home based business (but it wasn't bringing in enough money) so that if something happened or he ended up in the hospital, I could be with him and my children. Well, last week I started a new job, that is unfortunately for those reasons, at night. I refuse to leave my children alone at night even though they are 16 and 13. Knowing this...and even having the conversation with my best friend last week when I began the job, that if something happened could they stay with my kids till I got off work (7 pm till 2 am), during the time my spouse was in hospital if it happened, with knowing that their spouse did not like me. They would not respond. WELL, yesterday it happened. I had to take my spouse to the hospital with chest pains (He has had 3 heart attacks), and my friend called to see what they could do...I said nothing, I just had to find someone to stay with

I was in a relationship with a man from work, we were together in 2005, I ended the relationship in December of that year because I found out he was in relationships with two other women, and I knew both of them. I confronted him about it and of course he denied it. He had the nerve to tell me he wanted us to remain friends and of course I told him hell no. Afterwards he would continue to call my home and cell phones, e-mail me. I got a job working somewhere else, and he would try to find out where I am, but I didn't give any info. I changed my home and phone numbers as well as my e-mail address, but somehow he managed to get the numbers. I have gotten very rude with him and told him not to contact me anymore, I have written letters to say the same, and he is not getting it. I have not contacted him since the relationship ended, I have left him alone, but he still bothers me. He also bothers my former co-workers, asking them questions of where I work. What shall I do about this dummy?

Ok...Uhmm.I am in 9th grade and go to a very,very small highschool [300- kids]. I have more senior guy friends than I do 9th grade friends. Every weekend I'm hanging out with atleast 1 of them. We go to the mall, they come to my soccer games, I go over to their house, vice versa. If you were to see a 9th grade girl in the mall with a senior boy..What would you honestly think?

I learned several months ago that my longtime friend (known each other 32 yrs.) carried on an affair for 7 years. His wife, who became a very close friend of mine too, told me after she discovered it last year.

She has not told him that I know, and I have not spoken to him (they live 1,000 miles away). This month, he will turn 50. For all the years of our friendship, I have sent him a card and/or called him on his birthday. I don't know what to do this year. Ignore the day? Send a cryptic card that says, "I hope your 50th year brings everything you deserve?"

I know the situation is none of my business. But it has been a huge loss to learn that someone I considered to be a wonderful person is actually a reprobate. It's the length of the affair, and all the lying and deceiving that must have gone on, that I can't get past.

I have no reason to doubt what his wife told me: once she discovered the affair, she said he admitted it, but supposedly ended it.

Any advice? Thanks.

i have no idea what to do...
I mean ... ughh.
My boyfriend is like amazinggg.
But he goes to parties a loot and everything.
I love him dearly.
But he smokes and drinks a loot.
I have to metion that I am 14 and he is 15.
Okay.. I love him.
But all of a sudden he hung out with this guy
named Eric and he gets him to go to parties
and drink and toke up.
But that just isnt me I get embrassed when
people come up to me and tell me how
stupid my boyfriend was acting at a party.
I like another guy that is straight egde (which
means he doesnt do drugs or have sex..etc.)
What should I do I love my boyfriend but he
is just out of control and that other guy I dont
have to worry about him cheating or anything
like that.

Well, her race is Indian, I haven't seen her for 30 months for now. I started know her when we were in Army. She loves to smile, but she don't smile much & never show her teeth in photos. Someday if I fix a date to meet her, I will love to take lots of photos and take a camcorder to video her. Do you think she will smile in photos? Will she show her teeth too? Her teeth is pearly white & straight, like she wore braces before, but she didn't.

I met this guy in my college class and we starting talking and then I really began to like him. We hung out and talked some more and then after I admitted that I liked him he said he felt the same about me. He has a girlfriend and they were fighting and I tried to help him, but I know that he really likes his gf and I don't want to ruin anything that the two of them have. So I quite talking to him for about a month. Recently, I went to a movie with him and I had the chance to flirt but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I am glad that we are friends, but he normally instant messages me first. I don't know what to do or where to go. I really like him but at the same time I don't want to hurt any relationship that he is in. Please give me some good advice that will help me. Thanks so much.

hi, ok, i am 18 and about 2 years ago used to spend every weekend at the stables with my horse and my friends. I havent been going very much in the last couple of years but the last moth or so i have started riding again. I had always been friends with both sons of the owner of the stables and used to go out with the older of the 2 but they have both changed in 2 years and i cant seem to keep the younger one out of my head, i find i am always thinking about him, he has got one of those bodies that when he hugs you, you just feel really safe in his arms, and he is really sweet, i need help, i dont know what to do, i mean i have known him for years and i dont know if i really like him, can you fantasise about someone but not actually like them as more than just a friend? please help, xxx

Two days ago i made a question,and i received some very good advice but there was someone who said me don't ever speak or write again because i had not written two words correctly. i noticed that the same treatment was given to two other people who had not typed their questions correctly.Iam not American,i am from Europe and i am trying to learn English .i think that we should try to offer each other here at the community good advice and moral support,and not offend one another with discouraging remarks.What do you think?

I have no problem attracting boyfriends and friends. But I just know I dont show the right sort of interest in their lives - like a good friend would - I can go and spending evening with my boyfriend and not ask what he has been doing that week, etc, I swear I just forget to ask. Is that really bad? How can I be more socially aware/interested?

I had a childhood where we didnt intereact with anyone at all - my mum was sick, poor, and as a result reclusive.

How do I train myself to be more socially aware? I do feel I miss out a lot.

My cousins Mom past away yesterday / during the night.

I am always so tongue tied as to what to say.
Mom says, "CALL!"
I say, "TO SAY WHAT?"
Mom, "Tell her you offer her your condolences."
Me, "Good Lord, I'm not a Hallmark CARD - that sounds cheesy."

We were best friends and best cousins growing up till I hit 12 and moved to Fredericton. But during my adolences I lived at her house most of the time as we lived in a 1 bedroom house. Her Mom, was my 2nd Mom.

The years and us growing up put a distance between us. I was the maid of honour in her wedding. She now has 5 kids and is a stay at home mom. We talk and giggle whenever we see each other but we don't keep in touch on a regular basis.

I'm stumped - do I call?
If I call - what do I say? Sorry, I haven't been a great FRIEND while you were going through your Mom illness - DOH!
