Friends - July 2006

I’m close friends with a girl who I liked, so I told her 3 weeks ago. She responded by saying that she just wanted to be friends. But over the course of the last 3 weeks she has kissed me many times and we have cuddled together intimately a lot. I would say we act as boyfriend and girlfriend.

She rings me 1st thing in the morning and last thing at night, and many times during the day. We go out for dinner and she wants to hang out together each day. She has told me everything about her! We talk for hours. She says she wants to meet my family and get along with them.

She still says we are friends. Says she has gotten hurt by her last two boyfriends not long ago and is scared of giving her heart away again. She still talks a lot about her last boyfriend who hurt her badly – Basically used her and then suddenly stopped all contact with her without explanation!

What does this mean? Does she even like me? Am I being played for a fool and don’t see it? Help please I feel really confused!

I've known this girl since preschool and she's a year younger than me. As some ppl may know what happened in my other question, I was backstabbed by my friends. Now, the girl apolizied, and my ex, her and I are friends... "FRIENDS"...

I mean, I forgive them--on the outside. But not the inside. They're nice and all, and it would be PEACEFUL (I HATE all the drama I had) if we all just shut-up& got along. I have this friend who I'm crazy about. We met online and it seemed promising but we never hooked up (bummer). However, we did get to be good friends and now we hang out. The thing I don't get is, why has he continued to hang out with me all this time if he's not interested? I can understand that we can just be friends, but one minute he'll be all buddy-buddy and the next he can be a jackass. I'll think he's actually interested in me as a person and then he blows me off or I'll even feel like he's uncomfortable with me. I just don't understand what going on in his head.

Sadly, I know this sounds HS, but we're talking mid-twenties. Any insights? I hope I explained the situation well. Also, now he has a girlfriend, but it's the same old thing with me.

I have a so called "friend" back home-he's 30 years old and a teacher so he has the summer off. I have a good job, but he makes way more than i do. Well i live in South Carolina, and he lives in VA. If it wasent for me, he wouldnt be living where he does now. Anyway, he keeps saying that he wants to come down to see me, but the only catch is that he doesnt want to come unless i pay for his gas to come down here. I just bought my first house, and i think he wouldnt expect that from a friend, espically if he really wants to come visit me. What do you think?

He always wants to tell me about what he's doing at this job,but when I start to talk about mine he cuts me off or acts like he's not listening.I'm really tired of it because it's not just the job it's about everything.He seems kind of jealous,but that's not my fault.I didn't make him have those kids,so when he sees me with not as much responsbility he gets mad.What do I do about his attitude or should I do anything?I don't have many friends,so this is kind of hard.Being around someone who only cares about himself is kind of getting old though.
