India is a country where a married woman is addressed as 'sister, mom',an unmarried girl as 'a daughter',sister' and an elderly couple as 'uncle-aunt-mom-dad',by people.
It is the country where women take pride in cooking and looking after kids and husband and elders of the family.
It is the country whrein the mom never sleeps before her kids, husband hasnt eaten anything,it is the country which respects sacrifice ,interdependence and relationships and graceful aging. It is the country where money matters less than relationships.(even now)
On the negative side, people are divided by casts, religions and politicians are taking advantage of this mentality.
Women are often supposed to be submissive.Men are stereotypical and dominant.Single women are rare, widows are looked upon as a bad omen.Remarriages are viewed with a scepticism for females.A birth of a baby boy is celebrated, whreas girls are a nonwelcome kids.

I personally am a bit prejudiced about that whole region of the world. The middle east, has, and tends to be the fighting capital of the world. There has been unrest there for centuries. I dont know if it is a religion thing, a government thing, or just what the people in that region feel is right, but they sure seem to have a dislike for Americans. What have the Americans done to them. We offer them financial aid, military support, and anything else we have to offer. All we get is kicked in the teeth. I tyhink they are mostly jealous of the life that we are able to lead here and therefore, they feel the need to down us. Thats not to say all middle eastern nations, or people are bad. I have met many who are fabulous people. I just think that for the most part they are out to get those of us that are more fortunate.

India is a country with population nearing 1 bn and located in South East Asia. I think there is hardly any difference between India and its neighbor except his size and population. The other thing that west is west and east is east.

I think it is a nice country but I wish that the people would stop coming here and working. They are taking our jobs and sending our money back there.
