It ain't right. But, there is a lot in this life that just ain't right. You can choose to make this "not your problem"
Yes, they have the right to do this. Is it right. Hell no.
If the name calling is substantiated with a counter-opinion or correction, then at least they think they have just cause for the name calling. Otherwise, they don't have anything intelligent to offer. Move on. You're not such a jerk.

No, but at the same time, some people on this site answer all the questions very rudely - you can tell they've been scorned and they take it out on everybody who asks something. Or they answer everything with "have sex, get laid." It's hard because you want an opinion but you want a SINCERE one - that someone really took time to answer your question and think about it.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of jerks out there. Is it not right, but immature people do immature things, that's why we call them immature. Good to see that you made the mature choice of addressing it in this manner as apposed to stooping to the other person's level. It shows that you are more evolved. Now smile ;-)

Everyone should have the right for an opinion and to complain but don't worry about it in two days you'll forget about it and you wasted points asking this questions.

that depends on how that person answered the question. if he/she answered the question seriously without any insults then its acceptable but if they're just here to mess around and hurt other's feelings then those people are sure BIG jerks!!!

i think that a person who calls the others names just because they have different opinions is not civilized.actually it depends on culture and the value system of each one.

The great thing about our country...Freedom of speech. We all have the right to voice our opinions. Maybe morally or ethically..you do not agree, but alas..another great thing about our country....

it depends on how you "delivered" your opinion

For example. I could have the opinion that yellow is an ugly color

"I HATE YELLOW AND ANYONE WHO LIES YELLOW IS STUPID BECAUSE IT IS THE UGLIEST COLOR EVER"

as opposed to....

"well, I personally like blue better. I don't like the color yellow because it doesn't look good with any other colors..."

So your delivery could have been rude and they called you a jerk I dunno??
