I'd say it started happening in the 1980s, and has progressively gotten worse. Both parents work, some of them at two jobs. It is unfortunate that this has to be done just in order to make the bills and have a few things extra.
In single-parent homes, this is even worse. No one is home to supervise their children, know their friends, know where the kids go and what they do. It seems that the parents hand the kids money, and don't even know what they do with it. It's too bad that so much of that money goes to drugs, alcohol, and other things - and the parents don't even realize it.

It happened at the exact moment that you stopped having fun and living up the day. Choose to put it back the way it was. Have fun, laugh your butt off, and love your family.

We are conditioned to a certain form of thought process at a young age, in school, church, etc. Church has become...dull?It doesn't have the same spirit it started with. Work is all about the dollar, and surviviing. When it comes down to it, we have to search out what we believe and want instead of letting society tell us all that. So, to answer your wuestion, it started when we stopped living for oursleves and those we love, and began to ttry to conform the beliefs of the drones of society....

When you have a family you want to take care of them. It takes a careful balance to keep both happy, but then the costs go up and the job has to to come first because without th job, the family suffers. Responsibility sucks. We all want true happiness but it has to come with a price.

This is life, this is living.
You have to accept the life as it comes.
This happens when you reach stagnation.
But, it is in your hands to keep it up in a rhythm.
