This is hard for me to admit about myself, but I tend to lie about myself alot. I do it for sympathy and attention. I like the attention I receive. It makes me feel loved and wanted. But, others have begun to recognize this and i'm worried i'll lose all my true friends because of this. I want to pretend that this is not true, but i can't. I want to change myself. Everyday, I tell myself I'm going to be honest with people, but then the lies come out. I feel like a horrible person. But, I don't know how to stop. Please help.

Also, should i tell my friends that i've lied in the past? Part of me wants to, but I'm worried I'll lose them.

My last relationship I was with a police officer who was emotionally abusive and a cheat. We had a very dramatic relationship although I do felt as though I love him. I think the reason was because we dated for 9 months but I dont think we really ever got out of the infatutation stage. Therefore, it was lust. That was a bit more than a year ago and still he does have a little piece of my heart yet to heal.

6 months ago I started dating this amazing man. He is wonderful, genuine, trustworthy, caring, affectionate, loyal, attractive, good worker, would make a great father etc....The 1st 3 months of our relationship were OUT OF THIS WORLD. I was loving the euphoric stage.

One morning I woke up with the though in my head that I didnt love him anymore. I then became depressed and did not eat, sleep, move for 2 weeks.

I think this has all happened because we moved out of the infatuation stage and moved into the comfort stage. So judging this love to my previous "love/lust" this one is much more neutral. We always get along so there are not many "special" moments. All the time is special because we laugh together. But this love is completely un-familiar to me. I almost feel as though something is missing in it because I dont know what it is supposed to feel like. So the main point of my story is I am scared because I sometimes confuse the comfort stage of love to a lack of love. How can I tell the difference, how do I know if wasnt just infatuation and now nothing?!?!?

I can't undertsand why it happened to me a few times and to my female friends. That's why at one point we thought that the men loves us if they still choose to come back to us after they've been cheating. Why didn't they just move on with the other women? I think this is a weak point for most women....

Lets say that you don't have any family ties, no romantic ties, or friends. The man/woman of your dreams comes up to you. This person is in every way compatible to you. Sexually, emotionally, ect. This person says..."Lets move to a deserted island somewhere off the cost of the bahamas, and live a life minus civilization. That means no money problems, affairs, headaches, or anything like that. You would hunt and gather, and build your own little hut on the beach. At night, you would bask in the moons glow, and talk about whatever it is that people would talk about...and you would live a nice pure life. Would you do it?

there are lots of examples.. but i'll use the latest. first, her parents are really strict and they don't really like her to go out with guys. therefore, sometimes she has to hide things from her parents when she goes out with me. a few days ago, she was going out with me, but she was so sad because her parents are not open and blames her a lot when she don't tell them about her hanging out with me.. she was sad and cried and told me that she wants to spend more time with me... but her parents seem to be so strict that everytime we hang out.. her parents would find out and blame her...
so from this, what do you think? she likes me as a friend or what? what should i do? i seem to get her in trouble when we go out...

Im 17 years old....

I don't know why but I feel like I have really girly features.

I have long eyelashes, dark curly hair, and my eyes have this weird girly look about them. People tell me that my eyes have this "soft" look that makes them look feminine =(

That's why I don't like to shave a lot because if I shave then it makes me look even more girly and kid like. girls always see me as this "cute" and "adorable" boy. it gets kind of annoying.

my x partner and I have been seperated for over 4 years. we have an 14 year old girl from a previous relationship she had, and an 8 year old son. she told me she was moving out of the family home 1 week after we had brought it.after endless attempts of trying to talk her out of it ,and asking her how she was going to manage supporting herself and the kids .I was told I'll manage. she didn't and I let her move back into the house and moved out.with the help of family mediation which she didn't want to attend we came to some informal agreements,which included if she cohabitated for more then 6 months with another person she would buy my share of the house.on getting the keys she moved herself,kids and new boyfreind into the house.that was 2 years ago her new boyfreind has been evicted by her from the house more times then i can remember.i feel this is not good for the kids.i want to be in a position to offer an alternative if the kids want it and need money to purchase my own place.

I want to know what is the best way to meet a lady. I hope it is not some crazy pick up line, but how does a guy go up to a complete stranger (female) and let her know he is interested in her. The classic line from Animal House was "Mine is Bigger Than Yours" and Otter was holding a cucumber as he was speaking to this lady. Surely that is not the best way.

this is really weird, me and my ex broke up because he thought we were too different, even though we werent. all of a sudden he starts talking to me a lot. and hes like you should come over and we could makeout and do sexual stuff..[not sex though,i'm a virgin lol]. he said he doesnt just want me for sexual stuff & wants to get to know me more. we didn't go out that long when he was my bf. whenever he talks to me he always talks sexual and asks me whats the most sexual thing iv'e done..but hes also really nice and he acts like he cares about me cus when i'm sick or watever he always calls and texts me all day asking how i'm doing..but do you think he is just using me? does he just want sexual stuff..i still really like him but i dontknow
