I have never felt more alone, i used to have my sister around me who's only a year older but she has moved to another part of the country. I have two best mates, one of them has recently had a baby and the other has been with a guy for a while and spends all of her time with him, it feels like i dont exist sometimes. Now these people who im closest to no longer have much time to spend with me, my social life has suffered and i feel very alone, this is making me feel depressed, when im usually a very happy girl. I am really shy and do not have a lot of confidence, so i do not make friends very easily. If anyone could suggest ways for me to meet people i would be grateful.

there was a girl at my college who was always very quiet and seemed sad, i ate dinner with her and some mutual friends, and she seemed really shy. i saw her profile on myspace and read it and she seemed really down so i decided to send her some poem i wrote for her bc i knew she liked poetry. so i sent her the poem, then a few days later started to talk to her about some stuff and then i told her i sent the poems. i could tell by the way she acted that she liked me and i liked her back but 1) i was about to move 2) i was involved in a bad breakup. someone she liked before me started to like her back and i wanted her to be with him bc it made more sense so i asked my friend, who is a girl, what would make you not like a guy but not hurt you? she said to be annoying, so i tried to annoy this girl and then she started to think i'm "too intense." anyways we are friends now, she is with the other guy, i still kinda like her though. now that we are friends, should i tell her the truth???

A few years ago I got into middle school, and I became friends with my current best friend. Now, the best friend I have now, and the best friend I had before are best friends. My newer best friend barely talks to me anymore, and same with my other best friend. I have other friends, and other best friends, but this still really bugs me. I don't want to talk to them about it, because I don't thinl they'll get it, and they really judge people by what they say; and I don't know what to say. What should I do?

I have been friends with this guy who goes to a nearby school for about a year. We used to go out, but are still good friends after breaking up. He used to hit on me when we weren't together, then he stopped wen i didn't seem interested. Then I started hitting on him, but that didnt go anywhere. now our friendship seems entirely mutual except for the fact that whenever we hang out, i really wish we were more than friends. I have asked this again and again to myself i had always had this image on men that they were horn dogs sorry to be so direct! But that is how they protay themselves. So my question is in my relationship is the opposite my husband is not always thinking about sex i am, I am the one that always is asking for some or trying to get him to make love. I even kiss his neck and tell him how much i want him but he just tells me to leave him alone. And i am so fustrated because i hate feeling like this i have talked to him and asked him what's wrong and he tells me nothing and i know he is not cheating on me he is with me 24/7 but damn i need some advice on how to get him to want me (again) like he used to when we were dating!!! what a jerk! :-(

His mother has been hostile every time I see her, or talk to her, and has had her mother with her every time I see him. I feel extremely uncomfortable around them even when my son is with me. He has tried to keep in touch with her, but she treats him like crap. Since his son was born, he has become a Christian, given up crack and meth, and still smokes pot on occasion and drinks 1-2 drinks occasionally. He has only just come to the point in his life where he CAN be a better dad. I did send my grandson birthday gifts, but dont know if I should try to talk to her when she is so nasty with my son and I. She never contacts me, and never sends photos or anything about my grandson. What should I do?

I have a sad situation. After my girlfriend of about 4 months left for a 3 week vacation, and good friend of mine died. At the same time, my girlfriend suddenly stopped emailing me. The timing made me really upset and I started worrying something had happend to her too. I sent some really worried emails I think freaking out about her a bit though I didn't tell her what the problem was. After she responded I realized she was having such a great time that I shouldn't bother her with my problems so I told her everything was fine. Now she is coming back after I know such a great time, and acting a bit cold and aloof with about meeting me, saying she doesn't have so much time, this after saying how much she loved me just a couple weeks ago. I don't know if I should tell her what happend now, which I feel might guilt trip her into meeting me, or be patient and friendly and positive and wait until we meet at the right moment to tell her what happend...I don't want her to pity me...

My mum just recently died and my brother is gone out of his mind. I need some help. He refuses to see anyone, he refuses to go to an adult who will help him, like social services and a theripist, he doesn't want to go there. What should I do? He's gone crazy. He yells alot, he never use to do that. He pushed our little sister to the ground.
