I'm overweight now but a few years ago I was slim. I have a lovely face and hair (although I say so myself!) and when I was slim I had lots of male attention. Now that I'm overweight I am barely noticed. Is this because of my weight or do you think it's because I feel bad about myself?

I like a girl and my Grandmother decided I liked her and my Grandmother tends to talk and change stuff so it could really hurt the girl I like, so This morning I rang her up and told her I liked her but I didn't want to go out with her. She said shes ok with thatas long as we remain close friends. She also said she didn't like me like I like her. I am Only 14 almost 15

I would like to get a serious Relationship with her in the future but not now. Have I made a mistake and do I have a chance with her in the future?

Ok. Bottom line, we're both seniors in high school. We don't know each other. At lunch everyday, we walk up to the softball fields. She gets picked up by her parents and I drive home. I always start walking up the hill first cause I leave sooner. But she walks really really fast and catches up to me. But when she gets withing 10ft of me, she slows down to my walking pace and just walks behind me. I wanted to talk to her but when I turned to see if she would walk past me, she just hung back and slowed down even more. I can usually tell if a girl is into me but this time it's different. I know she's a shy person by her attitude. But as I leave the parking lot, she's always glancing at me (she wears sunglasses sometimes but you can still tell she's looking at me), watching me drive off and when I look back at her, she turns away as if she wasn't looking at me (totally obvoius) Is this girl just really shy and doesn't like being around people, or are these a few signs that she likes me?

Me and my dude decided no kids but he never uses protection. I tell him to and he does at first but right in the middle of it he will take it off. Why does he do that I mean do you think it is because he just dont care or is it he want a kid and just aint tellin me. I know nobody knows the answer to this but him but tell me what do you think. so i went out with this guy for a year we didn't do much we had some bad times and i guess some good times. but when i think about kinda the more like "sexual stuff" we did i hate thinking about it !! and my friends will just bring his name up and i just cant take it. it was a bad realtionship and i am regreting it all. i sent my ex an email and told him i miss him and i miss us and asked if he felt the same.... he tryed to call me at work and said a different name to the girl who answered the phone but i know it was him(it wouldnt have been anyone else and if it was work related they would have said and he used the name he used to use when he called me). should i email him and ask if he was ringing or should i wait and see if he replys?? or ask him if he called?? coz the girl who answered was an idiot and when she hung up she said bye and said his real name and then hung up on him. so he knows she knew but i dont want him to think i put her up to it.........

I have approached my boyfriend about engagement and he says that he really wants to get married to me. He has been making plans for it but he needs some more time to make everything "right (traditional-- family approval and good ring)." I have wanted to get married for years and have wanted. But after 5 yrs. I want an official committment from him. I think he plans on asking me after he has finished an intense professional degree (in 2 yrs). I am not sure I can wait that long. I really love him and I'm not sure why this has become such a pressing each for me, but it has. What should I do?

i am attracted to a guy, i've known him about 9mths as aquaintances. I'd like to know if he likes me coz i feel like im over analysing how he reacts to me. Its hard to sum up but some of the clues i have:
he always waves and lets the wave linger as he drives by me.
he smiles at me when i see him.
he has shortened my name.
he laughs at the dumb funny things ive said
he seems to look directly at me and listens to everything i say.
but
he also is nearly always the one to end the conversation and have to rush off - more so if his mates are around.
he is a geniune nice guy.
he always has his arms folded when we talk
it always stays on polite conversation, never flirty - just nice.
If he likes me would he be flirting more or am i not giving him the signals he needs, i know i'm keeping my guard up too - but gee i've sure tried to let it down! I know i dont make enough eye contact, i stay well out of his personal space, i keep it polite and nice and super friendly and dont say how i feel.

5 months ago my husband told me our marriage was over his reason was that he just wanted to be on his own and that i had done nothing wrong..1 month later he had moved in with a women he worked with and her 3 kids.we have 3 kids as well which he ignored for the first 3 months and only now sees every 2nd weekend.He wont talk to me about our kids or anything else and becomes nasty when i try to talk to him about the kids.this is not the man i married i feel i dont know who he is and it hurts me that he has left his family to be with another.Our kids are also hurt by this as it was a shock to them as well.Sure we had our ups and downs like every one does but to be told as coldly as he told me has really hurt.He didnt even tell the kids i was left to do that and i couldnt even give them a reason.I feel so betrayed and lost.I want to get on with my life but im not sure how to get past all this hurt.

My eldest son and partner gave me my 8th grandchild yesterday, as he lives in Spain and I am in UK havn't seen him yet but I wanted to share my joy with the world, my mother has never cared for my son but I left her a message to tell her the knews, because she knows it will hurt me, she has not bothered to reply. When my dad was leaving her he wrote her a letter, I thought that after 25 of marriage that was a bit harsh so I took it upon my self to tell her. She stayed out of my life for 10 years, when she became ill I recived a message from a family member and went straight away yo find her, her excuse was that she just hadn't been well. I excepted it. She has spent years telling me how much she hates my father and my sister but all of a sudden she has re-kindled her relationship with my sister, I am pleased for them but now I am out of the picture. What would you do?

i have this female friend of mine and i have deep feelings for her. However, she is married and has a 20month old boy. Recently i spent time with her and i noticed something was wrong so i implored her to tell me.She finally did and she let me know more than i ever wanted, which in return made my feelings stronger for her. The morality issue comes in because she is married. However, her husband cheated on her two weeks after being married and again three additional times. One was even her best friend. I told her she should try to talk it out with him and work things out for the babies sake. However, i stumbled on one of the letters he had written her and it was appalling. It was profanity laden and very cold. He even called her the C word. I know she has been faithful to him except for the night she fell asleep in my lap and that could hardly be called unfaithful compared to him.

So what does the YA community think i should do.

By the way i regret telling her to stay.
