dont do that! the courts takes that stuff seriously. if you take them down there, you gonna have to go through alot of crap to get them back. juvenile hall is serious business, not a place for you to take your children when they are acting up. once you open that door, you gonna have to go through the system to get them back

Some one told them this will help stop their child from going to jail. Or get shot. It is some times what a child needs to get them going the right direction. You didn't say what the child did so I guess you feel there should be no one in prison either. Stop covering for what the child did wrong and get behind the parent trying to do their best. Juvenile Hall is much better place then Prison or dead. I one time had a child hand cuffed and parade though a mall till I could get there. She stole and has never done it since or any thing wrong with the law. After that happen I never worried about her braking into a house and having the owner of the house shoot her. Take your pick.

Basically it depends on your laws where you are familiarise yourself with juvinille law. You can't just hey my kid is acting up and I want to scare them will you take them for a couple days? Once they are in juvi hall they become wards of the state if they are sentenced for any long period of time you loose parental rights the state becomes guardian. But for minor infractions if they hit you threaten your life, break cerfew you can have the kid picked up make sure its on a friday late afternoon. That way the kid will have to stay in juvi all weekend until a judge sees the kid.Then that should about do it. I say do it on a friday because here they try to kick loose as fast as they can.

Don't do it! I am going through the same thing, they only pick up worse habits, and might like it! We cant quit on our children, or let anyone handle our children for us! It is our responsibility to do everything in our power to help out our kids. Gosh if you knew what I am going through, but it's unfolding nicely, so have faith, and release your child into God's hands. Trust, believe and have faith...Prayer works, times have changed and so has the law, and once the system knows you cant handle your own child, you might even end up loosing your child for sometime. So as parents, we have to do everything we can to save our children! GOOD luck! Read about camps, and stuff like that in the Internet, you will not like what you read! You will have to pay to put your child in Juvenal hall, talk to your child and put him in counseling, and get all the help you can get for yourself and your child. I am! If I can do it so can you! It's your child, and what an investment your time and effort!

You would have better luck if you took him to jail or a prison. I bet if you called, they would let them take a tour and talk with a couple of inmates that would give it to them straight about what hard living and bad choices get you. If you took them to juvee they might get encouraged to act up so they can be "cool" like the others. Kids are crazy like that. Good luck to you and good for you for trying to raise up some good kids - I know it isn't easy. Stay strong and pray for you babies every day!

You mean to scare them / Hey , some kids out there need the fear of God put into them....My sister's neighbor has 4 wild kids under the age of 13 all acting worse than BEBE's kids....They are rotten kids ..and need placement in a monastery before they kill someone ...Admit it some kids just need fear put into them when nothing else works...

Please, please, please, don't do that! If you see your child going down the wrong path, stop and think, what could have caused this? Then please get him/her into counseling ASAP! Is this young person depressed? Any possible medical problem? Please, check out all of these possibilities first. But even then, please don't use juvie hall to try to scare them. It could scar them instead. Yor child(ren) need to be able to trust you, the parent. To love and protect them. To do that juvie thing, would break any trust they have in you. Maybe take parenting classes instead, to see where you can imporve on your skills as a parent. Take care.

sounds like they will end up there sooner or later, You should be trying to keep them out! there are other ways to make a child understand the rules,manners,etc.. then a terible place like juvy.spend more qualiyt time wiht your children, trust me before you know it they are all grown up and wont see you as much..

i did it and its easy especially when they are out of hand. actually they can't stay there very long but in some cases it does not help. some cases it does. in mine it didn't and it took the kid 30 years to wake up but he did. sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you dont' but it has to be done to get help and somethings it just doens't help tough love is another way to help also.

It`s called "tough love," maybe the kid needed a wake-up call.
You can`t judge someone until u`ve walked in their shoes.
