I just started dating this guy and now its valentines day, what could I possibly get him...We do have a bit of a history we've actually known eachother since the early 80's but I havent seen him in a number of yrs. and as luck would have it we bumped into eachother at the mall and have been sorta dating everysince....The sad part is he remembers more things about me {likes and dislikes} than I remember about him, he's a real cutie, I want to give him something sweet to express my sentiment but nothing too mushy, afterall we've only just reunited after 20+ yrs Wow! any suggestions would be appreciated....

OK my good friend is getting married soon, the wedding is taking place a few states away, just going there is going to cost my husband and i about $300 not to mention 2 days of work he is going to miss or there gift, i just got invited to a last minute bachelorette party which is going to cost $275 (a person) were they are going bar hoping, my husband and i are trying to get pregnant and i'm not even drinking caffeine let alone alcohol. I really don't have the money to go and i have tried to suggest alternatives to the costly plan, but all the other girls are stuck on this. I feel horrible and the other girls keep giving me guilt trips over it because me not going makes it more expensive for them, what should i do?

I really like this guy who is 3 years older than me and for the past week all I could think about was him, now I'm like remembering every guy I ever liked and replaying all of them in my head. Some I know like me, but our chances of seeing each other are small, some I like but I don't know if they like me and then there is my recent crush who lives in MIAMI ( I don't live close to there) MIGHT like me(I think he does but is shy about showing it) and makes me smile whenever I see him. HELP ME Why is this all so confusing NOW when it was so simple before? If I knew if this guy liked me it would help a lot what are some surefire-never-fail-signs?

On a recent show Oprah Winfrey had a panel of working and stay-at-home moms and said the friction between these 2 groups seems to be the implication that working Moms are made to feel that they love their children less (those that choose to work, not the very few w/ no choice other than daycare).

Oprah concluded both Moms love their children the same, but I actually think that since love is displayed by ACTION, dropping your baby off with strangers every day because Mom feels better as a working woman, versus the ACTION of sacrificing the money, status, comfort, etc of working to care for your baby all day does actually mean that the mother that stays home loves her baby more, is more selfless and shows love through action rather than mere words (and a few rushed minutes in the morning and a few tired hours at the end of the day...)

Is this an off-base opinion?

PS: I left a high-powered career 1 yr ago to stay home with my baby; HARDEST job ever but best decision of my life.

So I just got out of a 2 yr relationship. Now I'm dating this guy and I've known him for about 5 months now. I kinda liked him before but it wasnt anything serious since I had a bf. Now that I dont, we talk more and we've hung out a few times. Now I find myself liking him more which is upsetting me because I told myself after i got out of my 2 yr relationship that I didnt want anything serious with anyone. I just want to hang out. This guy is super sweet and funny and not usually the type of guy I'm use to dating. In the past I've dated a lot of thuggish guys and I usually know how to act around them. This guy is SO not like that and its different and weird for me but I like it. I feel like this is going to end up being bad for me though cause I know hes dating some other chick and I dont know where he stands with her. I dont want to stop talking to him but I dont think it would be wise to get in too deep before its too late. I dont want anymore heart ache.

okay so i went on this cruise and i met this guy. he was with all his cousins, so me and my friend hung out with them every single night from day 1. by the 4th night me and this kid hung out alone and talked the whole entire night. he was really sweet, and i started to like him. the topic of me being a virgin came up, and he didnt believe me at all..and he was NOT a virgin. by the end of the night we hooked up, and then layed together, and he even slept over in my room. the next night my friend went to go find him to hang out with us. he was surprised and happy that i wanted to hang out, and he came from the casino to chill( and he was winning at the time). we went back to his room and started hooking up and everything led to sex. it was amazing, and there was a lot of foreplay which was very pleasing. he was gentle, although he didn't talk much at all. after we had sex we went back to the casino to hang out for a little, but then i went back to my room to lay down. he said he would come back later, but i didnt think he would. sure enough he came back to LAY with me, not to even have sex again. the next day he came looking for me to hang out but my friend told him i was with another guy(which i wasnt)..he got upset, and didnt talk to me for 2 days. he would still hang out, but things werent the same, and he wasnt with any other girls at all. the 8th night strolled around and we bumped into eachother. he told me that 2 nights ago he thought i was with another guy. we cleared everything up, and i made sure he knew i wasnt, and it was just a misunderstanding. we hung out the entire night with my best friend. later on in the night we layed with eachother and had sex again and this time however, he treated me more like it was my first time. he constantly asked me if i was alright, and physically helped me out. he even said " you said you were a virgin right,"...but he remembered the other night happening and that we had sex. he told me to tell him when to stop and when it hurt. he ended up sleeping over again that night and the next day the two of us just hung out and he kissed me goodbye. after the cruise, he commented me the day he got back, and we talked back and forth every now and then. at one point, i thought he didnt wanna talk to me anymore..so i wrote him a message saying if you dont want any part of me, dont write back, but sure enough he wrote back.:) i even surprised him and visited him and he acted the exact same way he did on the cruise, and he was really happy to see me. he kissed me goodbye on the lips and told me to call him next time so we could hang out. i happen to be going to college in his town in a couple of months so we will see what happens.

It seems that he has major trust issues from his past friendships/relationships and he can never trust/belive a word people/I say. And have never given him a reason to. I've been completely honest and upfront about everything. Everything ends up being an argument because of the trust issue he has, he never can believe a word, and its just wearing me out.

ok ladies, i have a question for you. my ex girlfriend broke up with me about six weeks ago because she felt certain things were missing in the relationship. i now realize that she is right and i also realize that everything she felt that was missing i also want in a relationship. if you were to break up with a guy and then say three or four months later you two start talking again, and you realize that he really has changed and that he changed for himself and didn't change just to make you happy, would you ever consider getting back together with that person if you knew that he changed all for the better and that he changed for himself because he wants everything in a relationship that you do?
