I am 17 years old and home schooled, i never had a girlfriend but want one. Where do i go to get one? There is a library next to me, but only little kids and senior citizens go there. There's a mall nearby but it's in a dangerous neighbourhood. I only have 1 best friend, and can't get girls through friends. Please help

Confidence definitely plays a role in one's friendships. If your quiet then you have a hard time expressing yourself and your confidence. If "being yourself" is more quiet, then how do you gain and show your confidence so people will want to be around you more?

I broke up with my boyfriend. After 2 weeks I relized I still love him. I send him an email, "I want you back." He says, "No, China Rea (the person he likes) loves me and we like each other alot, I really want to kiss her and I don't like you anymore."

My boyfriend broke up with me a few months ago and since then we've been getting along fine as friends. I have been getting to know another guy and we've really clicked. I'm not over my ex and this new man knows that, so we've agreed to have a few dates etc and see how it goes. However, my ex (who broke up with me - it was by no means mutual) is acting very strangely now, it's almost a case of "I don't want you but I don't want anyone else to have you either". He'll tell me how much he misses me, but then act like nothing's been said. It's as if he's trying to stop me getting over him? I have tried to talk to him about it but he turns it round to make it look like I'm in the wrong, when I don't believe that I am? Has anybody been in a similar situation? Any advice would be much appreciated, he's being very complicated and I'm quite confused!

Theres this guy who i really like, and i think i am in love with him-he treats me good and i know he cares but my mom doesnt want me to have anything to do with him because of his past,she thinks he is trouble and a "thug" but hes not and she doesnt even want to give him a chance. there is a boy chuc and chantel i really likes chuc for a while now i dont like him but my best freind chantel is 13 and she is not aloud to go out with anyone untill she i 16 now she is tryin to be evil to me and chuc asked chantel out but he only did this because chantel said she would give him a kiss and not going out or nothing so chuc asked chantel out and she said yes and then after they walked into the cinima holding hands and kissing now chanel is saing things to get me agravate me to get me out of the picture because chuc and me youzed to be good freinds and would talk all the time on the phone and chuc really liked me now he dos not seem entrested because she has told them aloud of bul **** about me thats not true that i have screamed and so on and so forth so i need to get chuc and chantel jealous

So I have been dating this guy for about a month. Im head over heels for him, and he seemed the same. The other day, I started to get this feeling like something is wrong. I didnt say anything at 1st because I worry a lot anyways. So Friday night I asked him if everything was ok. He said yes but had mentioned 2x before, and then again when I had asked, that we dont have anything to talk about ever. I was with my friend so I told him I would call him when I got home. I waited a while, and decided I didnt want to think about it, so I text him. We ended up talking thru text for a while, and I came to the conclusion that mwe would take a break for a few days and see where we stand. I don't want to lose him. I wanted to text him last night and tell him I miss him, but I scared. When I told him we should take a break for a few days, he said "is that what you think we should do?" I said I have NO idea what to do but that I dont want to break up. Any advice?? Idk what to say next time we talk

I'm on a budget and I'm trying to decide what to do for food at the reception. I thought a buffet would be cheaper than individual plates for each person... does anyone know if it is cheaper? Also I thought about maybe catering my own wedding... making foods the day before the wedding, kind of like I did at my graduation. I could have fruits and veggies and maybe something like potato salad and desserts. If I do this, should I have something for the main course? And what? I would like to hear your ideas and what you did for your wedding.

I absolutely hate my dad. He has never physically abused me, but mentally. I am in therapy for it. I would never ever talk to him if I could, but I am about to go to college and really need his financial support. Talking to him makes no difference. I am in a complicated situation. 3 weeks ago my g/f and I broke up (just made 3 years together)because i broke her trust about 3 months ago and she still did not get over it fully because everythime she sees me, she feels she cant trust me and no matter how much i have improved myself over the last couple months the anger and pain is still in her. we tried a break that lasted 2 weeks that helped me to straighten up my life but it did not help her at all. We tried making it work together and i guess it did not work out because she still feels the same way. This break up is not a full break up because we both agreed not to see anyone else untill she fully figures out what she wants. I love her and want to be with her forever . Her trust is the issue here because her dad and mom are divorced and her dad is a lying scum bag which makes her trust easily lost and hard to gain. There is a guy that I like and who likes me back but he is trying to decide whether he wants me or his ex. They went out for 3 years. He has been "thinking" since January first! His ex doesn't know about me and him liking eachother and I know they still kiss. And his ex is one of my best friends' older sister. And there is this engaged guy who keeps flirting with me. My sister recently started dating this man that my mother and I disapprove of. We feel my sister is just settling for whatever guy came along and we know she deserves better than this guy. It's hard to explain but we just have a bad feeling about him. She also has a 5 year old daughter who we are concerned for. We don't understand why my sister doesn't think more about the people she brings into my niece's life. We're concerned about the kind of life my niece will be exposed to as long as my sister is with this man. What's worse is that this isn't the first time she's been involved with somebody just like him that is sub-par. She acts so differently around him almost like she's too cool for us or something like that. She's rude, sarcastic and sometimes offending. It's just not her at all. My sister is beautiful, talented, smart and deserves everything in the world. We love her and her daughter so much so how do I tell her how we feel without pushing her away?
