I am feeling a little down lately because I have never had a boyfriend and I am 14. I live in a small town so the boys I have now are the boys I will have in High School and none of them like me at all. I am just scared that I wont have a boyfriend all through High School and people will call me gay....and I am not gay at all! I do have some crushes but I am sooooooo shy and I just don't feel ready to have a boyfriend yet. Is this normal?

its totally normal! you will meet people everywhere...not just high school. how do you know the boys you go to school with dont like you? one or more of them could end up liking you. dont stress it, you are only 14. you will meet other boys from other schools. esp after you can drive & get a job!!! there are TONS of guys out there, not just the ones in your town! dont worry =)

First things first. 14 year old boys haven't got a clue what they want. To be honest, if the most attractive girl in the world walked by, they would only like her if their mates agreed (well 90% of the time). Secondly, I'm sure there are lots of lads that do like you, but they might be equally as shy and scared, and might feel that they are unwanted as well. Everyone is wanted, by different people and at different times - whether it be brothers/sisters, friends or admirers. In relation to being called gay, that's a strange one! Doubt this would happen. Finally, just concentrate on school, getting a good job, hobbies etc. When you're a young woman, with lots of prospects and interests you'll have a wealth of handsome suitors. And remember the song, always look on the bright side of life de dooh, de dooh de....... :)

Your okay sweetie, your set on what you think other kids will think of you. Don't let them put pressure on you. It's more cool to stay in school and not having sex which could happen when involved with a boy friend. I was very shy in school to, my parents being old fashion didn't allow dating until I was 17. Which your not missing out on anything. When you get old enough to go to college {which I hope you do} You will meet some more educated guys from other places, and you and your girlfriends will take trips and have a chance to meet a cool guy. Don't settle for anything less in your small town, Just keep your sights set on much better for your future and your children's future. Go ahead and write a diary on what you want in a boy friend how he looks to him having a lot of money and nice car , no one needs to read your diary but you. Four years sounds like a lot but it's not, Who knows you may go on and be a doctor or our president some day. Stay in school and study make your dreams come true.

If someone calls you gay because you don't have a boyfriend that person has really big problems.
Lots of people are in high school unattached because they're so busy having fun and doing things they don't have time for a boyfriend.
You'll have a boyfriend one day....but in the meantime don't worry about it and go live your life and have fun.

c'mon now what worrying you exactly? not having a B/F at 14? that's no big problem well according to me. if the boys you go with to school don't like you its' not the end of the world. There are so many boys out there who will like and treat you with respect you just have to give it time. you're young and you still have along way to go, believe you me by the time you get to university you'll have a B/F or at least someone who'll have asked you out so don't get down a d stressed over that. good luck
PS: it's better to go out with some1 who really loves and appreciates you than to waste your time with some1 you know is not worth it.

yes that's completely normal, i didn't have a girlfriend till i was 16 and i never thought I'd have one. And how do you know none of the boys like you? i bet alot of them think about you more than you know.... And secondly, you created a whole scenario of your life through high school based solely on assumptions. you should think more positively of your life... you exist for a purpose!

Keep in mind that you're only 14, and you still have the rest of your life to do what you want. So the current situation looks bad? It won't for much longer. Just be yourself; the guy who can appreciate that will find you, and then life'll be good. Okay?

YES! Some guys are virgin till their 20s and girls too, that's completely fine and preferable knowing you don't take this lightly and waiting for the right person.

you have plenty of time for relationships, dont go and waste your teen years by setting your goals to find someone, at this age you need to find out what your gonna do with your life, and not waste it over a guy
