My boyfriend smokes marijuana just about everyday and so does all of his friends. When we got together I knew he smoked and he knew I did not. I told him that as long as he didn't smoke around me then I was ok with it. Once in a while he will talk about our future and ask me how we can live together knowing that he smokes. He is trying to hint around to occasionally being allowed to smoke in my presence. I honestly don't know how to answer that question. I really care for my boyfriend and we've been through alot together but I'm not interested in smoking at all and he isn't going to stop so here we are. I need to know if anybody else lives with someone who smokes and can it work? How do you compromise? I can't have him go in the garage in his own house! I just don't like it. He isn't lazy or unmotivated or anything like that. He has a job and pays his bills on time and is really good to me. This is just an issue I don't know how to work through. Rt now we r agreeing to disagree.

I told a good friend that if our friendship keeps growing I am considering asking her out. She sent back an email that said:

well, as to where I stand, it's pretty much as always - I want to be friends, and our friendship to grow, and be good friends - but at this point i can't see anything else. I haven't heard God nudging me, or calling me to go further, so right now I am just really hoping that things won't come between us being friends, and that we'll still be able to have the fun we've always had together. I would really be sad if you started distancing yourself from me and our friendship broke up - so I really hope that won't happen!

I've been dating this girl for 3 months today. We actually dated for a bit 10 years ago and then broke up and after 10 years, we got back in touch. Anyway, I asked her if she loved me and she said I don't know and that I need to stop pressuring her. Mind you, she asked me if I loved her after 2 months of dating. I personally think 3 months is a significant time. I mean it's too long for it to be a meaningless/loveless hook up. I guess I can't consider it a "hook up" anymore since she's not even "intimate" with me anymore saying that it ALWAYS leads to sex and how she wants to wait for marriage. We are in different states right now and I always seem to make the initiative to go visit her. She also has this propensity to ignore my phone calls. She says that she ignores everyone's phone calls so I shouldn't be so offended, but I'm her freakin boyfriend! Shouldn't she WANT to talk to me?! Anyway, she means the world to me, but is she just not the one and am I wasting my time?

Ok. I really like this guy, and he's also my friend. One of my other friends told him and things r sorta different now. Its sorta akward tlking 2 him bcuz we've only met this year. Also his cousin has gone 2 the same skewl as me since elementry and she's a really good friend. The guy who told him also told half of his friends, so now @ least 20 ppl noe. Ppl are bugging us bout it, and its just bcuming really akward 4 both of us. I am 46, not bald, but my hair is mostly grey, mixed with some remaining brown. I am wondering if I should dye my hair, perhaps blondish which would be closer to grey. Or should I just accept my "distinguished" looks.

Ok so here is my problem. I started dating my recent boyfriend 5 months ago and the first 3 months of the relationship were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Honestly, I had never been happier.

About a year and a half ago I got out of an extremely emotionally abusive relationship and have found out that I still have feelings for my asshole ex. Whenever my ex is around my heart beats a thousand miles a minute only because I think that our entire relationship was infatuation.

Now, I still want to stay with my curreent boyfriend but I feel as though my feelings are stronger for the jerk rather than for my nice boyfriend. I dont know what to do. Once the infatuation wore off on my current relationship I started feeling this way! How do I get over my ex and continue my life with my current boyfriend?

Met guy online & for 3 months we built up a great 'phone' relationship. Sent 100's of pics so he knew what I looked like. He came down, told me he loved me but when he left, the phone calls went downhill. (he wasn't into me, right? okay, I can accept that) I call him and he tells me he's confused and maybe I should fly down there to him and see how things go. He got upset that I got flight insurance because he said that was a 'red flag' that I "wasn't into him". He stops calling, I leave him alone. Finally, I call and ask him to tell me 'what happened' with 'us.' He tells me he was disappointed that I didn't keep calling him back until I finally 'won' him back. So I tried to do that. I would call and call him. He' d return every 5th call. I realized I had to stop. After 3 months, I receive an e-mail telling me how he hope's I'm "happy for him as he's found someone" and thanks me for being so great to him. I know I was the idiot but why would a man do that? So painful to hear that!

i just graduated college in december and moved home, 500 miles from school. two things are really bothering me-i am in love with this girl, (i'm a bi female) who used to kind of like me but chose to be with someone else over me bc i was moving away. now, she wants nothing to do with me. but i can't forget her bc she is too special to me. secondly, i live with my widowed mother and most of my friends from this city have moved away, there is nothing to do and its a northern city so it's very cold. i'm trying to find a job but it is hard. so i've just been spending a lot of time doing nothing and feeling worthless. my friends want me to move in with them, near where we went to school but i can't leave my mother all alone. she told me w/o me she is very depressed/lonely. what should i do?
