we have been married only 1 year, i found out recently that he cheated on me repeatedly before and during our marriage. i am living in ireland is there a way to file for divorce without him knowing until he gets my papers etc

when u file a divorce. u dont have to say anything to him until u have to serve him his papers. and when u do that you will already have your court date. u dont have to warn him that you are filing or that ur having a company type them up. just do it and serve him when you have to.

hello karen b yes you just go and file for your divorce and then he will be served with his papers whow sweetie 1 year wasnt very long sweet heart file immediately get rid of the cheat before he hurts you any more

Why the hell would you do that? Anger only makes you look as bad as him. Just go to the lawyer's office, get the papers drafted and have him sign.

Usually the only way for them to find out is by being served the papers unless they are told by the ex-spouse. When you go to you attorney, tell him that you want to prolong the length of time it takes for him to find out as mucy as possible. Your attorney can advise you on this.
