I grew up with idea that it is not very important
why only one day a year do we show are love so greatly
are we not spose to show it daily if you truely love someone

It is only important to corporate ******* and to the brainwashed, robotic, pseudo-romantic masses! I agree with you; love is a daily manifestation not some trumped-up, BS day !

I think this Holiday is special because everyone has a really busy life. You work a lot you travel and all that. I think this Holiday is for the couples who don;t get to see each other a whole lot. I can see why you feel it isn't important and it really doesn't have to be. But sometimes when you do not get to see your loved one for some time due to work, school, military its nice when you can say I am going to devote this whole day to you. Its also Nice for those couples who are not making the good life. Have little money and unable to do the things they want for each other. This day just gives them the opportunity to do something nice out of the ordinary. So it is nice but it really is not that important.

I grew up knowing that our family loved each other very much and Valentine's Day was just a fun little holiday! Of course you should let people know you love them all the time, but it is just for fun, and I love Valentine's day!

I think that it is. Because you get the chance to do something wonderful to show that special someone how much you truly care about them. But to some people its nothing more than a made up holiday to just let the people who have a bf/gf go out and be all romantic and everything.

If you love someone yes it is impotant.but you should shoe your love to your BF all the tome that's how that works. But valentines day should be important because it only comes around once a year!!

Well Valentine's Day is a good idea but not a very big deal to me.... just like you Celebrate Christ at Easter but recognize him all year through you Celebrate your love on Valentine's Day and love him/her the very same all year through. Certainly chocolates and roses would get stale if we got them every day...

It's important if your loved one expects something. If not, it's only important to Hallmark Inc. and Whitman's. Wait until the day after and get some great chocolates at half price.

It is important, because who would want to be in the stores and see all the Valentines day gift and know they arent getting anything.
That is a big let down.

No its not dat important.. its jus a day wen you can show someone dat you care... dont make it into a big deal.. no doubt you should show dat person you love em everyday.. but on valentines day you can make it more interestin.. its jus a day to be more sweet!! lol
