I'm unsure of the ring she would like (i have had mixed answers from her friends) so would it be better to propose with a ring or without and then we can choose one together. Would she be embarrassed about the cost?

This is my 2nd husband, 1st one passed away. My kids are 12 and 9. He will not help me out around the house. So I went on strike this weekend as far as he is concerned. Says he will only do his share and the kids need to start pulling their weight. What is his share? How do I tell my 12 yr old son to take out the trash when his lazy step Dad is sitting his a55 on the sofa.

we both are 30 yrs old now. I married a woman I loved 2 yrs ago after dated for 6 months. but our marriage lasted only 1 week. The 8th day, she left me and wanted divorce with me after I slapped on my 5'3" n 100lbs wife's face with a palm of a man who is 6'2" and 160lbs. We officially divorced, after 6 months. By then she found a guy 20 yrs older than she is. Another 6 months passed, she was about to marry him when I came up and got her back to me leaving the guy heart-broken. Time flys, we lived together for another 6 months "divorced". I worked hard and she was looking for job until last month, she got a good paid job with risk of staying in an African country for one yr. last Wednesday, she left me taking away all her belongings and leaving me a piece of paper, " ...pls don't try to find me...we shouldn't live together..." . Today's 7th day since she's gone, neither answering my call, nor taking my money...

I have 2 beautiful girls to 2 different fathers, the eldest has visitation on weekends every fortnight and that works, is sorted. the youngest - 6months, her father lives an hour away and he wants to alternate weeks - i have one week and he has the other. i can understand his want and need and love to want to spend as much time with his daughter and i want to fully support and help him foster a wonderful and positive relationship with her. But i think week on and week off is too much for a 6month old, babies need stability and a set routine, yes they can adapt but they stil need routine, i have suggested with him that her have every fortnight from friday to sunday - until he moves back to where we are, this is his decision and goal - then once she is a little older and more familiar of him, then it can move up to sleep overs and then shared custody. please i reallly want to know your opinions on this, my head is reeling from it!
thanks :)
