This guy and I like each other, but we barely talk. I'm almost positive that he does, i've been told so by a reliable source. It's been a week since I found out about it, and this guy was supposed to ask me to a dance in January. I've made attempts before the get to know him better, before I found out that he liked me too, and when I didn't get any replies, I figured that he wasn't interested. His answers to text messages are really short, and when I went to talk to him he didn't seem like he wanted to talk to me.
But, like I said, I found out that he liked me too last tuesday and I figured that he would ask me soon, but he hasn't yet, and there's only two weeks left that he could ask me. I left him a really simple note, just saying what's up, but he didn't write back to that and he hasn't called yet either. I'm really curious about what is going on..is he not interested (his friends tell me that he is) or is he just really shy (everyone says he's a really shy guy)? Any advice?

I'm 16 and I've never had a boyfriend. I'm pretty sure its because I'm overweight. I lost my virginity to my best friend which I thought ment he would want to go out with me, but he said I'm a nice person and I have a pretty face but his friends would never let him hear the end of it if he went out with a big girl. Does it really matter that much to guys what a girl looks like?

I am 24 and have always been single. I have no trouble attracting guys, as I am very good looking, nice, and am a smart grad student..but--I never get anywhere with any of them because I do not have the guts to ask them out..and they NEVER ask me out. I am always very friendly and make an effort to see and talk to them when they show an interest and flirt with me, but it never gets anywhere other then friendly chatting, and they seem to eventually lose interest. I am quite depressed about this since I feel that 24 is a bit old to have never been in a relationship.

He (he is a Peruvian native by the way, and not a resident of the US) married his second wife (she is also peruvian) in Peru two months before the judge finalized our (I'm American) divorce here in the U.S.

He is now seeking a divorce from her, however, and is curious if he can invalidate the marriage by stating he wasn't divorced before he married her. If he does this, will he be charged with Bigamy?

Would it be better just do go through the divorce procedure in Peru and not say anything about the other divorce not being final (he's the only one that knows, she doesn't)?

I have this acquaintance. I let her stay with me for a bit, and then her true colors came out. She said she'd only stay for a month, and now it's going on three, she ushered along my break-up, then she got mad that I was spending too much time at my place(I was at "his" before the break-up), and not going anywhere or doing anything. She bossed me around for a bit; and told me she'd do whatever she could to help me in my sorrow(once I broke up with my ex; all that changeed from her side). EVERYONE I've spoken to about her doesn't like her and thinks I should give her to boot out of my life. I don't like her much as a friend anymore either, serves me right to think she was one; but as an acquaintance who says hi once in a while, she's cool. But I can't help thinking that if EVERYONE in my life(some are polar opposites), agree she should be OUT of my life premanantly; then should I go against my judgement(I just want friends), and let her drift away? I'd like ur honest opinions please.

My wife and I live a comfortable life, we don't have any money problems because we live in our means and splurge only on special occassions.

We are in our mid 30's and will have our house and cars paid off in less than a year due to hard work and MANY extra payments.

We would like a bigger house, a newer car, etc. but we know we we need to be happy with what we have instead. So we save our money for a future child and prepaid vacations that will give us memories.

Its really hard to be happy with what you have, and it seems like many people think buying a bunch of stuff will make them happier.

My friends had a nice house, but had to sell it to buy a bigger one that costs twice as much. They are still not happy with their house and now they are in major debt with all their equity loans.

Why do so many people have so much stuff, like cars, expensive houses, gadgets, clothes, etc. when it doesn't make them feel better about their lives?

Why are we like this?

I was recently cheated on. I know he is sorry, but he betrayed me and broke my trust. How can he earn that back? Do I give him another chance? Is it possible for him to really have changed as much as he says he has? He confessed everything to his priest face to face. He sat down and told his parents what he did face to face along with his brother and sister. He has taken full responsibility for his actions and is going to counseling to help understand and conquer what he did. Can I ever trust him again even though he says that he is truly the one person in the world that I can trust the most now? Has he truly learned his lesson?

My mom is planning this elaborate x-mas dinner with her side of the family, my dad's side, and my b/f's family. ONE PROBLEM: I don't celebrate x-mas becuz I lost 12 people (family and friends) last dec. I want to not have to deal with all this. Is it too mean to break-up with my b/f on x-mas eve(but tell him my plan and get back together later) to ruin/cancel my mom's dinner?? He knows I dislike x-mas. He'll probably understand. Is it still too mean to do??

BTW: please don't ask how my family/friends died. It's too sad for me to think about.

She is an LPN, working, married to a loser, and has a 3 year old. They both smoke, drink, and eat out at least 7-8 times a week, have a $100 cable package and cell phones, but can't pay their monthly bills. I will not give her a dime, and I told dad not to either - that the kid needs to grow up and learn to love within her means. She does make good money too. Sorry - but I can't feel sorry for her, and I will not pay her bills. What can I tell her that won't cause a family fued?????

ive just started talking to this one girl that i havent seen in about a year. Is it the end of the world or your marraige if you and your marriage partner can rarely consummate or unable to consummate in thier marraige. Is physical intamcay super important or can yu do without it? Can God fix what is broken? I hear of more and more couples in marraige unable to have s*x, yet they are still married and together and not divorced. I was wondering because I know people that are unable to be in union is this something I can pray for for these people, is it proper to pray to God about such matters?
