This guy and I like each other, but we barely talk. I'm almost positive that he does, i've been told so by a reliable source. It's been a week since I found out about it, and this guy was supposed to ask me to a dance in January. I've made attempts before the get to know him better, before I found out that he liked me too, and when I didn't get any replies, I figured that he wasn't interested. His answers to text messages are really short, and when I went to talk to him he didn't seem like he wanted to talk to me.
But, like I said, I found out that he liked me too last tuesday and I figured that he would ask me soon, but he hasn't yet, and there's only two weeks left that he could ask me. I left him a really simple note, just saying what's up, but he didn't write back to that and he hasn't called yet either. I'm really curious about what is going on..is he not interested (his friends tell me that he is) or is he just really shy (everyone says he's a really shy guy)? Any advice?

We've only texted once, maybe two weekends ago. And i'm just wondering, i've already made some of the "first moves" I guess you can call it, and I haven't gotten anything. I'm pretty sure he knows that I like him, its pretty obvious, i'd say.

Well cece, if he is shy you have to respect the fact that he is just shy, and does feel really uncomfortable making any first moves. I being a man, can say that men just really hate rejection. Even the ones who say they don't......do. You can be holding up a sign that says"HEY DUMMY, ASK ME OUT I LIKE YOU!!!!", and he prolly isn't going to react. So if you want him, just this once, make the first move....what do you have to lose?

What's the mystery? If you want to rely on second and third hand info, then you will get NOWHERE in life:-) LOL - rejection sucks, but the thrill of asking is the sweetest burn I've ever known.

ifyou think that he's shy, why don't you just come out and ask him do he have a partner for the dance. if he doesn't tell him that you don't either would he like to hook up with you for the dance? if he doesn't maybe he's not interested.

He's so shy, he's terrified of you. Just ask"You're taking me to the dance,aren't you?" He either agrees or you play it like he should(after all there's nothing wrong with you to begin with).

Even if he truly likes you, don't you think he's in the boring side. Would you go on a date with Clint Eastwood with his monosyllabic response? Ask someone else and if he starts changing his personality maybe.
