For instance, I went back home this weekend to visit the folks, and when I told them last night that I was going out with some old friends, they told me to "stay here." Can you believe that sh!t? I'm 24 years old, earn my own living, have my own place out-of-state, and am still treated like a baby. Even my 17 year-old sister is given more personal freedom than I ever was. Also, a few of my friends, who still live with their parents, are given free reign to do whatever they want. That is one of the reasons I got the hell out of state while they have no problem living with the folks back in their hick town. What drives some parents (like mine) to want to control their kids even after they have left the house? Can't they let go?

This guy and i used to be best friends in elementary, and Jr. High. he moved to another town our 8th grade yr. but now we are in high school together.Well after he moved ,well actually kind of before ,we started to like each other but i had a boyfriend. We promised each other we would date our freshmen yr. now we are sophomores. and we havent dated. he has a girlfriend(of a long time). but i just dont know how to get over him. The fact is i like him alot, and it doesnt help when we were best friends at one point and now we never talk....What do i do?

I'm in university at freshman level. On the second day of class our instructor had us get up in front of the whole of the class and tell a little about ourselves. Anyway, I told my story and found out that there is this chap that has the same major as mine. We are the only two in the class by the way.

So anyway, our entire class went to the library to get a tour and get familiar with what is available. When I arrived, I was on the opposite end of him amongst the lot of classmates. We went to many areas in the library, and started to notice that he was next to me. When we went to our next area, I purposely went in another direction (still with the flow of the class) just to see what he would do. Well, low and behold, there he was right next to me AGAIN! There was even one point that he "accidentally" bumped into me while we were approaching another area of the library. He didn't say anything nor even apologized. Is that a hint that he's interested? Sorry so long.

So, I am 25 have a 3 yr old son, we moved to a new area with my mom.This is our last chance- if this doesn't work out we will be homeless. I spend hours looking for a job so we can get a place and not have to depend on my mom.My mom is a meth addict and will lash out at me and my son, from time to time, well this last was real bad and she told us we have to leave tomorrow. I have three options: Give my son to his deadbeat dad(literally) and girlfriend till I get on my feet, beg my mom to stay ( the enviroment is so crazy) , or live in a shelter/ street with my son? I would rather die than have to sleep on the streets with him.My hometown-Friends and family, babydad-8hrs away. We are stuck, with no help, and I do't know which way would be most beneficial. All my options suck. Where would you go?? All my family back home, are either in similar situation, or already helping someone else out. . .

ok this is gonna be a lonnnng qu, get ready!!
I went out with a guy for 2 weeks,i met him a the beginning of uni and we liked eachother since then, but never got it together because we're both pretty shy. Once we did, he found out he'd failed uni, and so he had to move to Leeds for jobs etc.
He's coming to visit everyone at uni, and there's a rumour (no idea if it's true) that he wants to stay in my room in halls while he's there.
I also met another guy from Leeds, via msn, spoken etc to him for almost 3 years now, we got on great, we did kiss, but he's never said he actually fancies me. He's extremely shy, and never had a gf. He wants to come visit me at uni too.
I don't know whether I should wait around for the 2 nd guy and see what happens, or see if something could happen again with the 1st.....help?!?!!
oh and another ex is visiting his mate there too and is being creepily flirty as he's just dumped his most recent gf, but i want nothing to do with him...but he hates the 1st

last time me and my ex talked I told her that I would bring her stuff over and we could just end this roller coaster ride. Upon dropping her stuff off she told me that she was sorry that it ended like this I asked her if that ment it was over she said yes. Here's the thing their was somethings that I was unable to bring because I forgot and didn't know I still had and a salon sink that needed to be disconnected. I put her things in a pile called her and left a message that I would be out of town for the weekend and that she could come get the rest of her things, she later called me back and left a message that she couldn't make it and then left her a message that to call me when you want the rest of your things.
Is it possible that she doesn't want to pick her things up because that would cut all ties and finalize the relationship which she is not ready to do? These are things i know she wants and would be upset if I gave away or threw out.

I'm in love with a man that is a youth pastor at my friends church. he is really nice to me but i think he is gay. he isn't because they don't allow gay people in there church. i think he likes me but my friend thinks that its weird that i like her youth pastor.
