Heck yeah!!!! Look here young lady don't do it!!!!!!!!!! Why is it that he has sent you a ticket? He is the man why can't he come to see you where you live and work and play? Don't you think it strange that he a man would send a young lady a plane ticket? Just you stop and think about what it is you are doing. If anyone is shame to meet your parents no matter how you perceive your parents to be, he or she is a coward and not worthy of you AT ALL!!!!!! I know that you have heard these types of stories before about Internet predators it is nothing new. Young lady be smart and think about what it is that is important. You say that you have joined the US Military. That is good!!! This one man on the Internet could be very wrong or even dangerous for you. There a multitude of young men in the Military Ranks, fine/good- looking , not so fine/good-looking, manner-able, not so manner-able, but the difference is that you know that you will have a safety net surrounding you. Don't do the Arizona thing please, just think the man should be coming to see you not the other way around.

Have you talked to this guy on the phone before. I am sorry I am just curious because I just got done reading a book called Katie.com ( you should be able to find this at your library.) I think you should read this before you go off visiting him. Maybe you two should consider him visiting you. Like somewhere you go alot and know the people VERY well, just in case. Your parents might find this a little easier to handle.

Make sure you have a back up plan for I flew to Atlanta to do a shack up job with this girl I talked to for a year (she sent me all sorts of gifts as well). Well to make a long story short she didn't show. The other time I met 2 others that turned out to be real dogs so I told them I had to go but one time the lady was a beauty and I spent the entire weekend with her and latter she wanted marriage and I didn't so my final words have money and a back up plan for all that glistens ISN'T GOLD.

Yes.. I would make him fly to you instead of you to him... He should be respectful and met you somewhere very public. And if you think he's the right guy after that...he should come over to meet your parents...

I would say he is just trying to get in your pants...

You shouldn't even be considering to tell your parents you are going there... you should be telling them... he was coming to you and he wants to meet your parents....

Take that from a guy who is in the Army....

When you meet someone on line and get to know them that way, you are taking a chance! It would be better if he came to where you are. Don't be foolish let him come to you! And for petes sakes tell your parents what has been going on, they will agree, that they would like him to come to you, instead of you going to him, it is safer that way! You are young and naive, don't take a chance!

Tell them you are about to meet a stranger, who might be a serial killer, or Jack the Ripper incarnated.
Do not be surprised if he is a 60 year old pervert.
