Hi i am in my early 20s.. and i am kinda tall and fat.... not handsome looking... I try my very best to behave like normal male by wooing other gals and all.. untill today. One of my friend questioned me after commenting about a girl, asking me "You think you are handsome? See if you can get married or not". He was a Handsome lad so i couldnt talk back. I was really hurt by those word. but it got me into thinking too... i only had a 2 month relationship and never had a partner after that... am i that ugly.. or is it just my low esteem... i have never groomed myself.. I am really worried and sad.. every single day i sit down staring at the roof of my room and crying in my heart... and asking god why has he created me this way.. i am really yearning for true love.. which i couldnt find... what am i to do?

We just got engaged 1 month ago and we are having an engagment party this saturday and last sunday we got in this really big fight and he moved out but we worked things out last night is it still right to have this party now that we have had this fight it just doesn't seem right to have this party like i still want to get married to him and everything but its just we are not the same as we where before, should we cancell the party and have it another weekend or should we go along with it?????????

I'm a good Englishman of score and 12 years and have many an American colleague and friend.

Please...oh colonial cousins across the great pond. Just what is it with the "dating" system in the US. Why can't you just hang out, grab a coffee and if you like each other why not have sex?

My experience of American gals is that they expect men to pay for everything, pick them up at home, bring them back and they use sex as a negotiable commodity.

I mean, I know the US the head of the capitalist economies but seriously does EVERYTHING have a price Stateside??

Just once, I'd like to find an American girl who is easy-going, has no monetery agenda, is intelligent (i.e Doesn't vote Republican), is international in her outlook and embraces her sexuality instead of using it as some kind of bargaining tool.

I was dating my fiance for 3 years when he finally proposed back in December. He's good in the sense that I can trust him not to cheat but he also hasn't had a job for over a year now and goes to a bar every single night (without fail). I'm pretty sure he's just going there to drink, it's a dive hole in the wall but he's 38 years old and very irrisponsible, he always says he's going to stop going there and that nothing is going on but he also still hasn't tried to get a job or help me in any way financially with the wedding plans. He also lets his one friend talk to me like I'm complete crap and still continues to hang out with this guy all the time. I know he loves me but is it me, or could I be making a huge mistake? any insight? my heart is breaking and I just dont know what to do anymore.

Ok it's a little silly, but my boyfriend has loads of posters on his walls of girls. And I don't like them so I said I'd feel better if he took them down, so he started to get really annoyed and and said
'you can't always have your own way and besides I like them'
So I said
'how would you feel if had posters of men all over my room?'
and he said he'd be really upset and he probably would'nt come round anymore! That made me really mad, what's he playing at? he's normally a really sweet, gentle guy. But lately he's been saying things like
'Im not comming round tonight I don't wanna see you and don't bother trying to get me to because you can't always have your own way' !!
I'm totally gobsmacked because in the past, he couldn't keep away from me and as for me gettin my own way .... thats never actually happend. whats going on? do you think he just wants control over me?
