You need to realize that you can say anything online, you truly do not know a person who is at the other end of a computer. You may like chatting with this person and have fun doing so, but you truly don't know them. In order to be truly in love with someone, you need to really know them.

Loving someone that you chat with online is not true love. After all, you don't really know the person until you can spend some time together. The real person may be much different than what he or she appears to be online. I don't think you can really call this love but mostly infatuated. Get to meet the person before you decide you're in love. Chatting online is just a fantasy.

|The trouble with only chatting is that you really have no idea whether or not they are telling the truth about themselves. Most people try to make themselves sound better than what they are in small ways, but if you get a guy that's pretending to be a girl, thats just lying in a big way.
I think you can love how a person represents him or herself, but you have to meet in person in order to know them better. You have to know a person before you can say that you're truly in love. There's body language, whether or not they wear a wedding band, whether they actually HAVE the CD's that they claim to listen to, that sort of thing.

If not: No you can not truly love that person. To truly love a person is to know them all over and love every part. If you never met then how do you know the other parts are great to you!
If so: sure it could be!

It can be a start,but you really need to meet in person,and see how it goes from there.My brother in law met his wife on line six years ago and they are still going strong.
