In the 10 months we have been married my husban's actions have caused me to lose all trust for him by constantly lying and having emotional affairs. He says everday that he wants to work things out, yet his actions do not back up his words. He continues to lie and hide things. I don't even think I love him anymore due to the lose of trust. We enrolled in counseling for our marriage but now I'm wondering if I should even try or if I should just leave.. What do you think? Can it get better?

I have a 23 year old son still living at home, doesn"t work, and if he does, it is only for a month. He has a cocaine problem, and thinks that he can just quit on his own, which he has tried, but he always falls back to it. I have kicked him out, of the house, but he stills bothers me on the phone with his problem. It is hard for me to deal with all this. I have tried to help him, but he just doesn't want to help himself. By the way, he has been to rehab once, but only lasted 2 months clean.

My girlfriend and I dated for a year and recently broke up because I'm leaving for school in 5 months. It was like we had an expiry date, so we both decided to end it. We do care about each other very much, but becoming committed again won't happen since I'm leaving soon and moving from Canada to Australia and I understand that she doesn’t want to date exclusively if it’s not going to lead anywhere. Things have always been really good between us, so we are trying to have an open relationship and work out some ground rules. The 2 main issues however are emotional and sexual. Emotional since I don’t want to cause her pain by being with her, but not completely. And sexual because if either of us is seeing others we need to use condoms and they ruin otherwise amazing sex for both of us. She is currently dating casually and I had plans of doing the same. I really think we are both mature enough to make this work on some level and we both agreed that this is better then nothing.

Is it because you don't know me? We will get to know each other. Is it because we may not have anything in common? We may have everything in common? You don't find me attractive? I don't find you attractive. You've never met me? I've never met you.

We have so much in common. I feel like I've known you all my life.

I have heard hundres of times that money isn't the most important thing in a potential mate although I do think it is somewhat important. If I want a man who makes a good living, I am considered a gold digger where as I get rejected by men who won't even give me a chance or answer my personals ad even if I email them first because I don't have a college education. Why do people tell me I am thinking to much of a man's earning power when it seems the guys do the same thing. The main reason they want a woman with a college education is because they want her to have a career and be making good money. I don't think that I am stupid just because I didn't go to college, hey not all of us had that opportunity. I probably work harder than those people because I have to do some physical work and don't get to sit on my butt all day in an office. Why don't guys stop being gold diggers? Isn't it a woman's personality and how she treats you that matters??

We were married when I was 18 and my wife was 16. We meet in High School. Everyone said it wouldn't last 2 years. And no she wasn't pregnant. Well, our 22'nd anniversery is coming up and we love each other and have a wonderful relationship. Is this typical or our we the exception?
