Family & Relationships - 15 August 2006

My family and I went through Hurricane Katrina. We lost everything. We have since moved to Maryland. We have been here about 10 months, but have not made any real friends. Everyone we meet seems nice here, but it seems as soon as we say we went through the Hurricane, they start to be different. We have tried not mentioning it, but the conversation always goes there because we are new here and have that redneck accent. I want a friend I can hang out with, but don't know exactly what to do. I am very up front with my words and tell people that I like them and would like to meet the for lunch, or to just talk again, etc, but they never call or return my calls. I had friends back home and never really had to make new ones. How do I make friends?
By the way, I am 27 with three kids and a college student.

okay, my boyfriend and i have been going out for like two months now, but because of summer i haven't seen him since the fourth of july at this party we were both at, he completely ignored me because i guess that day i wan't looking up to "his standards" .. i told him off about it and he appologized, but it seems like he only wants me when its convienent for him.. i really like him because he is soo easy to talk to and can make me feel so happy, but in the same instance he acts sort of feminine.. and i like guys that can be hard.. like i dont think he would fight for me if some stuff went down.. and when were together and guys try and talk to me, he does nothing but sit there...my friend just called me and told me she saw him at the library with his x girl . he didn't deny it and came at me like it was my fault for being mad .. see.. part of me likes him..but part of me wants to explore other possibilites..part of me thinks he's gay,.. but part of me likes having a boyfirend.. We got married on 06/06/05 and when we told his parents that we did they insisted that we get and anulment because they wanted us to have a better bigger wedding an blah blah blah then next day we had talked about it to their parents he took me to his sisters house and he made me sign the anulment papers and that day everything change I didnt feel the same I felt betrayed and I felt that he should have defended our love but I guess that it was that important to him and then this year on valentines day he told me that he slept with a prostitude and I felt like my whole world collapsed what should I do I love him but then at time I hate him cuz I thought that If he really loved me he wouldnt hurt e the way he did I married him cause I loved him but now I believe that he didnt feel the same way

My hubby and I have been married for only 3 months, the sex is great but I have a hard time getting in the mood for it. I feel like I'm too fat or not pretty enough.
