Dorks are people also. However, the problem is probably not with the dork. The problem is your problem. You are not communicating to the people you are wishing would be attracted to you.
It is amazing how many guys would kill to be with a young woman, but just do not have what we would call the "confidence." Woman should always be the one, if necessary, who take the initiative and get the conversation going.
The reason it is usually the woman that gets things going is that you girls are so much better at socializing and being attuned to the social world than most guys. Guys live in closed societies. They are often alone with there needs and desires. It is absolutely true that in many respects woman will be the leaders in many areas of life because they just usually know so much more about the subject of relationship.
Maybe one good idea is to give your prospective boyfriend a book on relationships and what they are about. Or at least give him a premiere on the subject. Like act you're reading this book and just read a passage you have picked out before hand. You will find the most boys never realized that dating or relationship is a subject than can be learned.

Hey I'm a difunfuctional crap magenet. But I realized it's not their fault. The ones I would be interested in told me because of the way I look and they say I give off an air of." Don't waste my time" attitude. That I wasn't aware of. I am very socialable and now that they have gotten to know me they realized I am nothing like I seemed.
Whenever my husband (at the time) and I wen t out. Every low life, old fart, drunk would come up to me in front of him and ask me to dance. My self esteem was already in the toilet. Because my husband was a porn freak and oogled every chick in the bar. I always had to look better, dress cuter, do anything to look better than anyone else.
Then when me and the hubby split up. ( go figure) I went out with the girls. I was being surrounded by hotties and even a guy that was gay and hadn't been with a woman in 12 years, asked me out. Some of the guys i reconized from when me and the worst half was out.
I told them the story and says what gives. The hotties said that they could see I was with someone. (Even though they couldn't understand why) and out of respect didn't approach me. A couple of the (Not my types) joined in the group I asked them why they had. They said they had nothing to lose.
So basically there will be guys you are not interested in approaching you. They may not be as confindent or as in tuned to the signs. The guys you find attractive and don't approach you may have more experience with watching the signs.
it's all how you present yourself too. Ask some close guy friends what they think it is.

What's wrong with a dork, How dorky, please give an example, cause I always have liked the dorks, you know as long as their cute. Why go for a bad boy he will just hurt you in the end, I have been with a few.....I think a dork with appreciate you and respect you more

Embrace your inner dork. After all, hotties usually grow up to be employees, and dorks are the ones who grow up to sign the paychecks.

Dorks can be hotties! Whatever you do don't change yourself for someone else, just be patient- I'm sure there are some hot dorks somewhere!

well at least you are attracting a nice group of boys and not the thugs and wife beaters. try talking to diverse people expand your friends and get a cute makeover or try doing your hair differently or new clothes any little change you do might get you to where you wanna be NOTICED by guys other than dorks. dorks tend to be sweet and real good real good if you know what i mean plus they grown up to be loaded so they arent so bad give them a try

stick with the dorks and nerds, they will be the ones that will remain faithfull to you and treat you like a queen. While your hottie will knock you up an leave you on side of the road without childsupport

Dont dress like a dork. dress really slutty, guys dig that. whip out a breast every once in a while, just at random times of the day (ie. at work, at the store, in the car...) Cool guys love breasts. Stop wearing underwear and make sure you let people know that. Only cool girls don't wear underwear.

i used to have that problem!! but i stopped looking for guys in my surrounding and looked at more places becasue boys are always dorks at my school
