I'm going to try and keep this short and simple.... My boyfriend is divorced and has two children. We are getting pretty serious and he told his family and friends about me and wants me to meet his family, friends and kids. What really upset me is this... He asked his ex-wife for her "blessing" regarding me meeting their kids. He asked her if it was okay for me to meet their children... It just really upset me because I feel like he's giving his ex-wife a say in our relationship when the ONLY female that should have any say in our relationship is me. Do you think i'm being irrational? Do I have a reason to be upset? NOTE: in the two years that he's been divorced he's never introduced any of his g/f's to his children or family... AND also note, his ex-wife does date and bring other men around their children and never asks for his approval.

I was talking to my friend on the phone last night and it started off great. But then he told me something about his ex and it hurt me and I got mad at him. He got mad at me for getting mad at him(we are in love btw but hundreds of miles apart) and he started yelling but when he stopped yelling he started to hate himself for getting mad. He's been depressed for quite some time because his brother/best friend commited suicide. He smoked pot and snorted some cocaine. He promised he wouldnt do it again. Anyway while i was talking to him he kept saying that it would be best if he just disappeared for me and it scared me really bad. He hung up on me with his last words "Im going to kill myself. I love you. I called him several times and screamed into his answering machine and on my final attempt to call and save him he picked up and said he couldnt do that again to me (he almost died once before). It scared me so bad and I cant go to sleep at night becauseIm worried. what do i do?!

Ok, to start off, I've been been best friends with this boy for three years. Now I think I'm beginning to get romantic feelings for him. My parents were seperated for 3 years before they finally got divorced a year ago. Now, my father is seeing another woman. I live with my father, so it's weird when he comes home at 3 AM and I know he was just doing...things...with her. Plus, my mother is one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and used that as shelter to keep her divorce from feeling real. But, in her religion, adultery is the only true grounds for divorce. So now that my father has admittedly slept with another woman, my mother feels like he cheated on her. So I have to deal with her sobbing and venting to me ALL THE TIME about my father being a "horny bastard", and I have to deal with my dad thinking that it doesn't bother me to hear about his love life.

Any tips on dealing with the surrounding insanity?
