i have been told that i am very pretty, i am extremely outgoing and friendly, always nice and overall a good person. i have a college degree and the last couple guys i have dated have been threatened by all this. is that normal? is it something i should learn to get used to? i am going back to school for a PhD soon so is it just gonna get worse?

Why doe so many guys have trouble surrendering to their emotional issues? ...Instead of simply dealing with it by communicating, they do other stupid self destructive things to avoid issues. This seems to be so much harder than just putting it out there and dealing with it. Why are they such cowards?

I've tried personal references, the computer, want-ads, etc. I'm not that picky, just know what it is I don't want. I want someone who's employed, has good health, can take of himself, can look after himself, has a sense of self and a good sense of humor. I *think* I may have more issues now than when I was younger. Any suggestions? I'm tired of doing everything by myself, including watching TV.

is it that the second you see a girl on the street you have to whistle or honk the horn of your car? It's like when I'm walking down the streets with friends you always either stare, whistle, or honk. I'm not asking specific guys, just in general. Why dont you show some respect? Why do you do that?

I believe that when I was What ever age you are now. You don't have to say the age. and her reason is that she can't handle a relationship right now?

That's what she said.

I know she was going out with a different guy for about 8 months, broke up with him, and then started seeing me a month later, but for only a month before breaking up with me.

Is the reason because she just got out of that other relationship?

Or is there some other hint in there that i'm not picking up?

Yeah, yeah, I'm 36..still searching..great job..I'm a great friend..nice guy..big and tall...highly intellectual... no "real" bad habits.. kind of a smartass... have a few minor "quirks".. loves animals (obviously).. pull down a decent amount of $... have tried and tried and tried dating EVERY type under the spectrum... quite enigmatic yet approachable, but STILL you all avoid me like the plague. Exactly what makes me so repulsive?
