Family & Relationships - 24 July 2006

recently I lost an uncle unexpectedly to suicide. Due to financial situations and timing the family here was unable to fly to the other side of the country to pay our last respects. So a family get together/memorial was planned.

It has just been cancelled due to one family members emotional state after this death occured. I am unsettled because the way I see it is you don't cancel a furneral when someone dies so why would we do that. I always thought of my family as one that came together for one another. Now they seem to have just brushed off this event and I don't know how to deal with it.

Am I being selfish? When all I wanted were answers and closure and to say goodbye with my family by my side.

No one even knows how he did when exactly what was wrong and its been torturing me for two weeks now.

Should I just go on with my life? Or take a stand and let my family know how I feel

Ok, so I thought my co-worker liked me due to his behavior and that fact that he keep saying relationship...blah blah but then he sent me this email after i asked him what he thought of me..

"I received your email and i feel the same, however i think you are confused. I do not view you as one of my co-workers, i view you as my best friend for now. The problem is me the only reason why i do not have a retionship because i do not want them and the reason for that is because i've been damaged by the pig who cheated on me and dumped me like i'm some sort of a toy. I appreciate you more and more however i do not have the gurrantee that you will not do the same at the same time i'm very scared cause i do not wanna loose you. I'M not ready yet for another relationship because " My hearts' at low i'm so much to manage and i think you should know that i've been damaged" i enjoy being aroud you and i really do value our friendship. I admire you and your style that you wear to work.

This is our first date and we went to high school together..she has told me she likes me and thats she shy, but on the phone or thru texts, she gives me 1 or 2 word answers.

How do I get her to talk more tonight? To avoid the awkward silence. Any techniques, suggestions, etc. would be most appreciated.

A friend of mine is marrying a guy from the middle east, he is desparate to come to England. He is from Syria, and asked her to come all the way there for the cerimony she is looking at tickets, to go there. It was a phone proposal, they met in England, they didnt even have a relationship, then immigration asked him to leave because visa running out. I'm looking for a reception hall for my wedding in Montreal. The key factors are:
1) Using my own caterer
2) Bringing in my own alcohol
3) 200 plus people

I am looking for somewhere in the area of Verdun, LaSalle, Lachine, Dorval, Dollard, Pointe Claire or Pierrefonds.

I have a question for every woman in the world who can answer me this one question: Why is it thst you girls can't let anything go? Yes I f***ed up, OK I got that. ok im 15 my brother is 17 and my sister is 11 and about 3 years ago my parents got divorced because my dad was cheating on her. well my mom got full custody and my dad lived about 30 minutes away in apartments and we visited him like every other week. we lived with only our mom for about a year. but then we moved to texas when our dad was in georgia. we all missed him alot. when we moved my mom married my stepdad. it all goes downhill from here. we all never got along with our stepdad and we had ABSOLUTELY nothing in common with him. my mom and brother would always yell and argue because it seemed like my mom was choosing our stepdad over us. so after 6 months my brother moved and lived with my dad. after that me and my stepdad and mom always got into alot of arguements some days it was good and others its REALLY bad. i kinda feel like i cant leave and live with my dad cause i feel i have to stay cause my mom does love me. i love my dad ALOT and this summer we got to stay with him.....

My best friend of about 6 years has a new girlfriend who he claims he loves. I am a girl and she doesn't like him hanging around me because she is afriad that me and him are more that just friends though we have never been more that just friends. Now he is mad at me and he claims that if she breaks up with because of me that he will never speak to me again. Is that wrong to put a relationship of only about 2 months above our 6 year friendship??
