i have asked him several times over the years to quit driking i am finnaly sick of it.. he says he will quit for me, but he refuses to go to AA... and i fell he really really needs it, he is not abusive whne he drinks but he still drinks too much.. I want him to quit drinking but not for me i want him toquit becase he wants to quit.......... so the real question is .. How do i get him to quit for himself??? i am at my ends i amnot happy any more

My ex-fiance and I have been spending a lot of time together over the past couple of months. He calls me or writes me and asks me to come over and we watch movies, listen to music, dance, etc. I usually end up spending the night and he tells me that he loves me but that we are better off as friends. One moment he is asking me to marry him again and then the next he takes it back. help me understand him.
