This is why I ask it, My whole life (38 years ) Ive never felt wanted or loved by my parents, And I want to know, What makes people not love certain members ? Its not just me one of my sisters feels this way too. Other people say to me if you were a child now you would of been taken away from them, and put in a forster home

you'd have to look deeply and closely at how your parents were raised and their parents, & their parents, etc. it's all about upbringing, rolemodels, influences and a little bit about NATURE (inborn tendencies). sad as it may be that you didn't get the love and acceptance you wanted, you may be able to give love to some other person or your own offspring. maybe you can do better than those that came before you. i hope that you can convert your love-less upbringing to a fresh new life of love and happiness for your self and others that you might touch.

I'm in a similar situation. My mom is very controlling and domineering and abuses me mentally, I'm 40, however, my sister who's 20, is the apple of her eye. I guess I was an accident and was not wanted, but my father found out and did not let her have an abortion. That's the only thing I can think of why a parent would not love their child. I got 2 and even though I'm a single mom, and life has been so hard for me, I still love both of my children!

i think maybe your p[arents didnt really know how to b parents. if that makes any sense. or maybe what thier expectations of you or your sister werent as you all live now. but then again maybe thats how they got treated as kids and the only thing they know to treat people is that way. so sorry you had to go through all that and i ask that you just stay strong and never treat anyone that way aswell. Any good parent loves there children equally. No good parent would let there child feel this way. I don't want to bash your parents or anything, but it sounds as if they were just not good parents.
