I'm in my 40's with a very happy marriage. I grew up from domestic violence family. My dad never physically abuse me but he beat up my mom a lot. I used to feel sorry for my mom. I used to have suicide thoughts...Still kind of...from time to time. My dad eventually killed himself. Both my parents were in Jail before. I had extremely tough time to figure out that I shall not be ashamed of my upbringing. My husband love me and support me dearly. He never puts me down with my family background. I have two graduate degrees and successful career. I know I shall know better. I know that I could go to hell with my feelings towards my mom. I sometimes wondered if she played the victim game. I wondered if my dad is victim from my mom. I don't hate my parents. I just wish my mom could forget about me or pretend that I was never born. Perhaps hell will reserve a place for a person like me. But I can't help my feelings about my mom...I can't love her

I ran into my first love the other night at a bar. We dated for 2 years when I was younger. He was horrible to me back then, always cheating on me. He took me to lunch the following day and said that he has always thought about me and that I was the first and only person he has been in love with. He wants me to give him another chance to prove that he has changed and to treat me right this time. He said he wants to treat me the way he should have in the past.
But it still seems he is the same. All his 'friends' are girls he previously hooked up w/, he is a pathological flirt, and he works at a night club. But, it has been like 7 years, so maybe he has changed. Or, is once a cheater always a cheater?

i have this male friend who i met from a chatroom and i thought it was abit of fun and lied i was 18 as he was 20.
Now we have become really close but i want to tell him im only 16.
Im scared incase he will stop being my friend or will he still remain friends.

I love my boyfriend more than anyone i have ever loved, but i am just not fullfilled anymore. The last thing i ever wanted was to say goodbye. Its killing me inside. I dont want to let go of this dream, but its making me so unhappy. I dont feel that he makes any effort to keep our love strong. It gets tiring when only one of us is really working at it. I am not sexually satisfied, we have no romance we never go out and i am so afraid of making a mistake by leaving, but i cant wait anymore. How do i get over this guilt, feelings of being a failure.
