Why would you think that? Single moms (most of them) have to work full time, just like single dads. Non custodial moms who make more than their ex's have to pay child-support to the dad, too. Single dads can have a lot of fun with their kids - single moms have to worry about theirs all the time, and usually come out being the "bad guy," as far as the child is concerned.

I don't think we have it easier as a parent but in society it is looked at diff and I think it goes for both ways. Single fathers get a lot more credit than a single mom just because they are men when the mothers work just as hard!!!!!!!

I was a single mom and it SUCKED. There was not one easy thing about it.

Parenting can be done, and done well, by single parents. But it's a lot easier to be married when you are parenting kids.

Hang in there.

I don't think any single parent has it "easy". Of course, it's more acceptable and common for single moms and it's not that big of a deal, but a single dad? That's almost unheard of.

Being a single parent is difficult - your gender has nothing to do with it. I've been a single mom for 8+ years and let me tell you - it's NOT easy. But nothing worthwhile ever is.

YES because the single dads do pay child support, I know first hand, I'm owed for the last 18 years from my dead beat ex-wife.

Never had children but why would it be easier ? Raising kids is raising kids. At least now men can understand what our mothers have been going through for so many years.

Yes I believe they do. Dads are usually less feminine making it harder for them to understand why their children have certain feelings about certain things while women with their motherly instincts could understand the needs of a child.
