Depends on the situation. I moved out when I was 19, then again I was still in hs so why would I wanna move out, work & finish gr 12 all @ the same time ? It just varies fr person to person. I don't think I woulda been ready to move out @ 18. Er, no, actually I think I was 21 when I moved out. THAT's when I was ready. After bout a yr & a 1/2 or so, I eventually moved back home for bout 10 mos but then I ended up moving back to where I am now. (in a so-called "Mini City" :P lol) This time I was living @ my uncle's. That was for bout 10 mos, so I was paying them rent. You can only live w/ relatives for so long b/f they don't want you living w/ them anymore. I did nothing to them & they wanted me out. Well, my uncle's gf did. Don't think my uncle had a prob wit me tho. Anywayz, after a little while, on my way "home" :s, I stopped in @ this place & asked if they knew who owned the apts upstairs. The peeps there told me that she was just next door & that she owned them. She had 2 places avail. W/o even seeing the places I told her that I was gonna take one. That's how much I wanted to move out. AAAAANYWAYZ, lol sorry bout my long story... But yeah, what I basically said... it varies for everyone.

You have to be old enough to enter into a contract in the state in which you live (between 18 and 21 yrs of age). Some people will allow younger people to rent from them, but experienced landlords generally will not because they have been stiffed too many times.

it depends on you state or where you live at. Most places are 18 some are 19 and some are 21 in order to get an apartment.

It depends on what state you live in. You can get legally emancipated from your parents before you turn eighteen. That means that your parents don't support you anymore.

But you have to have a job so you can support yourself, and you have to go to court to show that you are mature enough to live on your own. Then you have to go and buy an apartment with your own money. It's a very hard process.

old enough to have a job, pay your own bills, take care of yourself, know when you need a bath, know when to get up or go to bed, with most kids today that is about 39, good luck.

18 unless you can get emancipated (a long, difficult process with lots of paperwork).
