I have a best-friend who I've known for five years and all the sudden it seems like he's trying to ignore me, now I usually wouldn't worry about it but I don't have very many friends, let alone best friends, what should I do...

I have been dating my marine officer boyfriend for a year now and before he left for deployment he took me home to meet his family, talked about our marriage - even went to look at rings. While on deployment he emailed me all the time about 'our' life together when he gets back, how much he loves and misses me, etc. Then, one day he called (two days after sending my flowers for my b-day) and said we are not compatable and its over. I got one email from him since telling me that he should have told me all this sooner. I have been a great military girlfriend - sending packages and such, always supportive and everything - so anyone gone though anything like this? I just dont understand where this is coming from (and no, he was not in combat on deployment). Does this sort of thing happen when guys go on deployment? I would understand this more if he were 18 - but we are in our mid-20s!
Thanks!

There are a lot of woman who tell me that men are NOT turned off by a woman who has children. As a parent I know the immense responsibility raising kids is and have to say that I would be leery to marry a man who already had children (hypocritical – I KNOW!) But I want to hear what the men think. If a woman tells you she has children, is it an immediate turn off?

My best friend was dating someone (who was crazy) and broke up a few months ago however is having a very hard time getting over the relationship. Mainly because they had an amazing, freaky sex life. He has tried to date others but is constantly dissapointed, then misses his ex even more. He thought about going back to his ex weekly just for "fun" however he knows that is bad idea. He has a hard time meeting people at bars where he lives (my advice was to be a man wh0re for a while until he recovered) so one night stands or random hookups won't work. What would you tell him to do?

My fiancee's father is ruining not only our relationship, but all of his relationships. My fiancee's parents went through a divorce quite a few years ago, his mom is over it but his dad is still bitter. His father constantly talks about the divorce and now has disowned his other two sons because they "took their mothers side". He is not very polite to me because I refuse to take sides. He also refuses to come to our wedding if my mother-in-law or my bother-in-law are there, in turn forcing my fiancee and I to chose sides (which I do not want to do). My parents are not together and they do not cause similar problems. We have two kids and I do not want to force them or my fiancee to stop communication with my father-in-law, but he lives to cause problems. ANY suggestions, tips or similar stories and outcomes?

What's a great "just because" present for a gal to get for her boyfriend? Not looking at big or expensive, just something that would make him smile and maybe surprise him that I thought of it. For example, guys can always give girls flowers, chocolate, candles, pretty pens/paper, etc as little thing - what can we do for them?
