For the past three years I have maintained a father-son relationship with my ex-girlfriend's son. We started dating shortly after he was born and I am the only father that he knows. The relationship between my ex and I didn't work, primarily because she was still in love with the child's, whom I consider to be my son, father and she suffers from what her family seems to think is bipolar disorder. Anyway, during our relationship my ex was always very selfish, evil and spiteful and would always go back on her word. Earlier this month I married the woman of my dreams. I really wanted to have her son (whom I love as if he were my own son) serve as my ring bearer. However, knowing my ex the way I do, I was concerned that she might object or cause problems at the wedding. As a result I thought it would be best not to travel down that path so I opted to have my nephew serve instead. Now she has forbidden me from having any contact with the child. Was I wrong for doing this?

We've none each other for a long time; and boy hasn't life gone by.

I recently met an absolutely amazing guy who I have been seeing for the last 3 months. We have this amazing, open and honest, comfortable relationship. We are both very career minded and busy but always find time for each other. He is charming, intelligent, sweet, fun to be with, and basically an all around perfect guy, except for some small (but significant) details. First of all, we met through work where we technically work for the same company, our office has no policy against this and we do not see each other most days so I don't see this as a major problem, except that my direct supervisor hates him and of course doesn't know I'm seeing him. I think if he found out, I could possibly lose my job. Secondly there is a significant age difference - 16 years (I'm 25, he's 41) is that too much? And lastly, he's just broken up with a serious girlfriend who he admits to me he still loves and says he's devastated by their breakup. In spite of all these things I still want to be with him and he says he wants to be with me too, but he says I'm too young for him and is sure I'm going to leave him any day. Do I work through all these issues, or run away as fast as I can to avoid having my heart broken???

My husband is away at the moment and I have found out that before he went he was contacting women on the internet and they were e-mailing him sexy pictures. I also found an email from him to one woman telling her not to use "this address" as wife will see it. I am absolutely devastated especially as this is not the first time this has happened. About 3 years ago he was up to this and it got more personal till he met a woman in a bar and took her phone number and they started texting each other behind my back.


I've tried to tell him how much this is hurting me and destroying our marriage but he says it is harmless fun and I shouldn't have a problem with it.

I really don't know what to do now. I do love him but I can't live like this anymore constantly thinking will he won't he finally go all the way, if he hasn't already. I wouldn't be allowed to do this nor would I want to but he says it's ok for him.

How can I get him to understand what this is doing to me and what he is putting at risk. He always dismisses my feelings out of hand.

Please help me this is tearing me up inside.

Hi, I'm 29 and my girlfriend is 20. We've been together for about four year and were very happy together, but now she has started going to other boys' houses. Well he like Play around with me! My boyfriend and I have been together for almost three years now and he just seems to be dragging his feet with making a commitment. We've discussed it, we've argued over it! Telling me that we will marry one day isn't good enough anymore. I need something (in the form of a ring) that lets me know that I am not wasting my time and that we are heading somewhere. I'm almost 35. I would like to have kids before I'm old enough to have grandkids! I love him and he's great to me, but I don't want to hold on hoping for a future with him and in the end missing out on what I want because he cannot commit.
