What should I do if I help someone who is mentally challenged?

My details are she has to get taking care of by a person that is trained by her mom.What should I do if I help her and everybody thinks I am different and stares at her and me.

It is only human to wonder that but look at it this way, you are helping her because she cant help her self and you are doing a good think all you have to do is open you heart and not care what other people think, some times when people stare and react negatively it is some times because of deeper issues within them selves that they have to deal with, sometimes its empathy or their heart just going out to her. Helping this girl would be a good thing and trust me it will make you a better person in ways that you couldn't dream possible, you will grow as a person and you will realize that there is so much more to life. Seemingly simple things will take on so much more meaning. Imagine your self in her position and treat her the way you would want to be treated. I don't know to what level she is mentally challenged but what ever good you do for her, even if she cant express thanks she will know that you are a good person. Try, it may not work out but it you choose not to do it, let it not be because you are afraid of stares. I know how you feel. Good luck.

Look at it this way, what would God think about you helping this girl? I think it is wonderful! When people stare just stare right back at them with your head held high. You are doing a something wonderful for her and her family.

You shouldn't worry about getting stared at. You know that what you are doing is a good thing and if others are ignorant enough to stare, their opinion doesn't matter anyway.

Why should you care what anybody thinks of you. You are doing a good deed for someone. This person that is different respects you and I think you should keep doing what you are doing.
