One night a guy & a girl were
driving home from the movies. The
boy sensed there was
something wrong because of the painful
silence they shared between them
that night. The girl then asked the boy to pull over
because she wanted to talk. She told him that her
feelings had changed & that it was time to move on.
A silent tear slid down his cheek as he
slowly reached into his pocket & passed her a folded note.
At that moment, a drunk driver was speeding down
that very same street. He swerved
right into the drivers seat, killing the boy.
Miraculously, the girl survived. Remembering the note, she
pulled it out & read it.

Basically what I am asking is, if you know a person needs to have something healthy but they refuse to take what you give them as in advice, how do you get them to see the truth of themselves? Example: A relative of mine who is a drinker/partier and will not confront his addictions head on no matter how many times he says he understands my complaint and will try and take to going to counseling, etc but then never shows up for it.

I really don't know what to do with this one. how do you have a fight with someone that you have never even raised your voice with? I have to talk to him about something but i know it's going to start a fight. Only cause we have two different opions on are relastionship. We have been dating for the last 4 months but He has spent all day every day with me for the last 3 weeks, slept in my bed, and stayed at my house. Not a problem I like him. He's a geat guy, other wise i would have told him to go home by now. But he says that we are still only dating. I don't know but to me it sounds more like we are seeing each other right? Should i say something to he or not? Do i start this fight?

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind teaching someone something they've never learned. I just can't stand people that are too ignorant to use their intelligence.
NO, we're not talking about strangers.
I'm talking about people that are massive amounts smarter than I am, that choose not to use it.

ive been wit my man 3 years and counting, but his sister is in the way a little bit. i mean she is always staring at me!!! you know kinda like she dont want me to know she is. when i look her way she looks the other way??!! what the hell!! and the mom is pretty pleasent but she stares at me too.. and sometimes she looks kinda mean. the sisters boyfriend does it sometimes but not enough for me to care. i mean what is the deal with the staring i thought i was paranoid but just yesterday my girlfriend brought it to my attention!! and her girl too. so which means they are actually doing this. I'm 20 years old, and my boyfriend (22) and I have been pretty good friends since we were 14 and 16, respectively. We became best friends in the past several years -- nonstop talking -- and have been a pair for a year. Our relationship is very happy -- there is no abuse or concern, I cannot remember any real fights or arguments, and we are on the same page regarding our futures and goals. My university obligations are finished and he will receive his bachelor's in the winter, and already has a very excellent job and graduate program lined up. We are considering the idea of becoming engaged when he graduates, and to marry once he's more established in his job and has completed his graduate degree. At the time of engagement, we'd be 21 and 23 respectively. I am from a European country where it is acceptable and normal to marry at a young age, and I am more than ready to be a wife (not looking to be a full-time career woman). I feel that within the next 2 or so years, he will be, as well.

He sent me a sweet, cheesy poem to my workplace on Thursday and 2 dozen roses on Friday. Then he left a rose on my door on Sunday. For a while I couldn’t figure out who it was, but now I think I know. He’s said all this stuff about how he thinks about me all day everyday, he can’t wait to kiss me, etc. Problem is, I don’t like him in that way at all. He’s a friend and I don’t feel like I led him on or gave him any false hope in any way. He hasn’t revealed his identity to me and I’m afraid to confront him b/c I don’t like him in that way. Right now I’m just trying to let it play out, but I know he’s going to have to confront me at some point and I don’t want to hurt his feelings. What should I do?
