...and what are the womens reasons for doing it herself? When would she get her engagement ring?

The reason I ask is because my boyfriend either needs to do this himself, or move on w/his life and find someone else. I'm 21, he's 23 and we've been dating for 2 years which one of that we've lived together.

Is it wrong for me to want to move on w/my life if he isn't going to pop the question? Last resort-- me popping the question?

I love a girl of different religion
My parents oppose our marriage due to
1.Fear of social boycott of our family (including my parents) by society & relatives.
2.Mental block ness about the other religion girl in the family
I tried to convince them a lot with by all means but failed.
Mental stress & fear about if I married that girl with out the consent of my parents took toll on my mom’s health.
Come to learn that together my G F & I do not have any future, as I can’t leave my parents because there is no one to look after them at this stage of life.
After considering the things we decided to discontinue our relationship.
However we are in very much love at this time also.
We are still going through the pain of parting….
Even now also she is very supporting & loving
However some times she feels that I have done injustice to her.
& She does not know whether she will end loving or hating me for rest of her life

20 years ago, when my best friend was pregnant at just 15 years of age (and only 6 months out of hospital for attempted suicide) her boyfriend was sent to prison. during his time inside he wrote some pretty steamy letters to her mother who delighted in showing them off to me and proving that she still 'had it'. It seemed from the tone of the letters that they were already pretty intimate but there was no way I could tell my friend as I was worried that it would hurt her - so I kept my mouth shut.
During the course of an argument with the (now) ex partner this fling with her mother 'came out'. My friend came steaming round to me to tell me what had happened, but she knew me too well and pretty soon realised that this was old news. Now she is furious with me for not telling her, and isn't speaking. How can I say sorry?

first one, two months. it was everything great, we saw almost everydays.he liked me as i liked him. Because I liked him too much, I started to feel insecure.everythin got weired. He felt tied down. we didnt work out.Once in a while he contacted me we hanged out(only one day). We did this like 5 times.He always says I'll call you, then he never called me. It's like every once in 3,4 months. so I cant forget him although I tried. he knows that I still have feeling to him.Then, this time, I havent seen him a half year, so i was about giving up on him. then we met again.I am sure we had a great time.this time he actually emailed and called me after that day, then we supposed to meet up.then he canceled it. If he knows that he is not going to see me, why he does this so many times.
It like messing around my brain.It so hurt me at the same time I cant forget him.so what's is the reason he dosent accept me? cuz of my pesonality, sex, looks? if he's not interested, Y he contacts me?

I find myself with an invitation to my 20th year highschool reunion. I am debating on if I should attend or not. When I was in school, I was treated with cruelty. I came from a poor family and placed in foster care. In a small town where everyone knows your parents and their behavior, Kids can be very cruel......20yrs have past and I have accomplished many things in my life in regards to my education with a masters degree in nursing and some published material, I am no longer bucked toothed..smile...I feel I have worked very hard to rise above the expectations that my parents had for me and I have paid my own way. I am not bragging but part of me wants to return to say "look at me now" and the other part says " screw it, just con't to let them think what they want".
Have you experienced this? If so how did you respond? How would you respond?

He wants to move to a southern city that he loves. We've been dating for 2 years and he once "accidentally" proposed to me. He said "would you marry me" and I said "maybee" and he then said "I'm asking you now". I don't know how that's an accident but anyway..

If he asks me if I want to move again should I say "why would I follow a boy around the country that hasn't even asked me if I would marry him. I could follow you for the wrong reason and have wasted a part of my life".
