how can i use mastercard. how to check its validity.?

very recently my company offered me a mastercard for online purchases but i have previous experience of its use. I can not ask here from any one because i don't want to disclose this fact on them.

should be a 1-800 number on the back of the card to check validity.

Buy something inexpensive and see if it works. IF it doesnt, then make sure u have the cash to pay for whatever u buy. Every so often I do this w/ my cc to make sure its still good. I buy a pack of gum or soda but make sure that if it doesnt work, that i have the cash w/ me.
