Yesterday at church my friend carelessly showed my where she had cut her hand intentionally, multiple times. Before I realized it, I slapped her face. It wasn't hard, and I've NEVER done anything like that to someone before. I just pictured her becoming a cutter, and it happened. I then got more gentle with her and begged her to never ever cut herself again. While we talked I kept on pulling up her hand and looking at the slashes. It made me scared, and it made me want to cry. But I couldn't talk to her in private, and I had to leave soon after. Now I'm scared that I might have done the wrong thing. I wasn't mad at her, and I think she knew that, but... I'm worried it might be my fault. I haven't been seeing her a lot lately. I don't know what to do. I can't believe I hit her. Now I'm worried. What can I do?

Its so over rated, you get all excited and worked up and you have an image in your head of you being loved and having a great day. They never turn out how you think. you're always disappointed. Especially this year for me, another whole year of bonding with people, giving other people great birthday presents, trying to be nice.. and i get rewarded with nada. hate that. i wish i could just erase my birthday. all it does is show you how much you aren't loved. what i hate worse is when people tell me its becaese i dont deserve it, and that its my fault i have no freaking life. just freaking tell me its my fault again and ill show you something else that can be my fault too. and it will be my last fault youll ever hear about.

I go out on dates all the time and have plenty of companionship. Yet, I am not attracted to any of the women I date or hang out with.

With every woman I date, by the third date I feel tired and completely unattracted to them. I don't think my standards are too high, I just get so turned off by them. I have explored the idea of going gay, but I just don't think it's for me - I love women, I just can't get attracted to any of them I meet.

After every date I feel so lonely, like I'm missing somebody terribly, but I can't think of who it is that I miss, or what it is.

Does anybody else feel this way? Or what advice do you have for me?

ignore me most of the night. She was hanging out with what used to be the popular girls. it really hurt me that after all this time she feels like she has to impress everyone and ignore me. We have been close friends for 15 years. She has become so worried about money and impressing people and it really bugs me. There is more to life than that. Anyway, should I say anything to her about how she acted towards me or should I just blow it off? any suggestions?

My girlfriend and I were dating for 3 years. Everything was great, but the last year was really terrible. We had some kind of crisis - no new ideas, mediocre relationship and didn't communicate sometimes for a week. After such a period of one week without even talking on the phone, we met and she told me there is another man - she said she rejected him. But obviously weeks later they were seeing each other. I revealed who he is, and two weeks later she admitted they were kissing and that she is confused.
We broke up, because we were constantly quarreling, I told her I don't trust her any more. She said that she wants to have the thrill as in the beginning...Some people say that we should have married earlier. I don't think this would have helped us avoid these problems. Anyway. After 3 months of being separate she was really depressed, steadily gained weight, etc.
Now we became close again and she is saying she doesn't want us to separate.
What do you think I should do?
