My boyfriend holds the firm belief that women and men can't just be friends. If this is so, why did he contact his ex girlfriend more than once via email and phone. In total maybe for times over a 4 month period. He does not know I know. Am I over reacting or shoud I suspect something?

My parents divorced when I was young and for the longest time, my dad was no where in my life. It wasn't until I was nearing my junior year in HS that he came back into my life (bringing along a drama queen-bloodsucking stepmother in tow.) My grandpa was the sole male figure in my life. I love him and am closer to him than anyone in my family, next to my mom of ourse. I'd like my grandpa to be the one to give me away, not my father. I'd like to break it to him as gently as I can. I'm hoping he'd see things from my point of view. you know, my grandpa helped raise me and taught me all the "boy things" a girl should know, like how to change the oil, shoot a gun, etc, not my dad, so why should my dad get to give me away? just because it's tradition? I know this wil cause a bit of drama on one side of my family, but I just wouldn't feel right having him give me away instead of my grandpa...yet at the same time, I really don't want to hurt his feelings. Any suggestions??

I'd like to know your opinion on the following situation which is a memory of the past only. I was depressed, and hardly had any friends as constantly everyone would want to fix me and left me more broken. Then a friend came along, who offered to listen and be there and just be friends. However, in the end, it turend out he turned me down. Never replying to emails I had sent while feeling at my worst. Now I am ok, and there he is still, complaining that I emailed too much. I appologized of course, but felt more worthless than a piece of oxidated metal lying on the backyard. Should I keep him, or diss him?

so half of my room is made of windows...and i always keep the blinds closed...but i recently noticed that a blush right outside one of my big windows is all smashed. my parents saw it first & told me that they suspected that it was a neighbor snooping on me...especially because of the angle the blinds were at. i have an idea who it would be....the guy next door is a complete creep. i'm pretty much paranoid now. what should i do?

Ok so basically right now i am in a sitiuation that many of you have probably been in at one point or another in your life. So whats going on is that i have these really strong feelings for this one girl who is amazing, however, she says that shed probably like me if her best friend didnt like me because she doesnt want to feel like she is stealing me away.Also, she kinda has some feelings for another guy, but they are slowly fading because it appears that he may be a dick. Anyways, with her best friend, i seem to also have feelings for her, though not as strong as the original girl. So basically i would like to get some advice on whether or not i should give, her friend a chance, since i do have some feelings for her, or should i take a chance and wait around for the first girl.

i was in a relationship for 2 years and he called his self breaking up with me because he said i was tripping to hard on him when he would leave for 5 hours and wouldnt call or check up on me mind u we were in the same building at this time. so when we broke up we were still messing around... 1 day i had came to his house and he was holding another girls hand... this was like a week after we broke up so i threw my keys toward his face and they missed so i punch him in his face because i had felt so disrespected because he had told me to come back and for me to come back and 2 c that.. was just totally a let down for me... let me know how u would have handled it and what u felt i should have done differently

So I asked this girl out for this upcoming saturday and got her number at the same time, but I called her yesterday afternoon and left a message but haven't heard back from her, so I pretty much know she's not into me (even though she seemed happy when I asked her out). What do I do? Are we just kinda stuck going on this date when I know she probably doesn't want to be there, and therefore, I wouldn't want to be either knowing she has no interest in me? Is there any way to give her a chance to back out without seeming too obvious? Or is there a way to tell for sure that I'm reading her right in the first place?
